I've been using this phone for more than a month now.. The only reason I'm gonna call it a midrange phone was because of the price. Everything else about this phone (specs,camera,etc.,) is like using a flagship phone. The battery is really really good, I've been able to watch 3 movies in it and still have battery left. The camera, I don't even know how to start.. For a midrange phone, asus did a really really good job. I have no regrets buying this phone

Asus make AI charging to prevent over charging example when you charge it overnight it will stop charging until 80 percent of battery then the charging will slow by AI charging system so battery dont get overcharge and it very good implementation for me... ur welcome

Yish, that is expensive. I bought this phone a week ago for only $380 here in the philippines. And the asus zenfone 5z will be priced at around $570 for the base model here.

J Pada i get around 5-6 hours of usage and i'm constantly using my mobile data. I only turn it off when i'm charging.

J Pada give it time especially if you updated it. The phone needs to be aquainted to the new update. And it also depends on your usage.

J Pada honestly, software still has bugs. But like all the other manufacturers, asus will be launching updates that might fix those bugs.

One of the major complains i have with all asus phones is that, they're pretty terrible at managing ram. They don't lag though, but out of the 4gb ram, you can expect only up to 1.5gb usable. That's one of the things asus wasn't able to improve on.

Nancy Kensinger Femmer it is of good quality. I especially love the stereo speakers because they get pretty loud. The software, especially the camera has some bugs after the latest update though.

Nancy Kensinger Femmer yes it is. And I can tell from experience zenfones are great, I'm still using my zenfone 2 since June 2015 and works flawlessly. Battery works like new, is fast, camera takes pics far better than many other more modern phones and plays videos smoothly. One thing that is common on asus, the speakers are loud and sound excellent. My zenfone 2 and an asus tablet I have play music really loud for their size.

Regarding the facial recognition, you need to turn on screen by pressing power button once to wake up screen to be able to use it, I just figured it how it works.

Damn. I just found out about this phone. 8gb of ram, snapdragon 845, 256gb of internal memory, a headphone jack, great stereo speakers, big screen and all that with 599e... But that notch truly breaks my heart. If it had a bit larger battery and no notch, man, I might even buy it.
