Yeah. That will happen when you release all brake pressure and grab the riser.

was just gonna say the same thing 😂

Pretty much guaranteed, never seen that technique before.

It seems no one really understands paragliding. There pilots who claim that you should always keep pressure on the brake lines, while others like Bruce Goldsmith in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIHWmJ2Kra2Doqs makes the argument that it is harmful to fly with brake pressure on modern gliders and it is better to let the glider fly and only brake the surge when it happens. Why is there are no consensus on these issues?

@@nice2carei think you’re taking what Bruce is saying to an extreme. We have brake toggles for a reason, if Bruce really meant that you shouldn’t use brakes at all then maybe he’d design his gliders without them🤣 it’s obvious that the pilot here let the AOA become too low and that’s what happens, a deflation of the leading edge of the glider.

It is inefficient to fly with brakes but having a little pressure on them gives you quicker reactions when the air is active. I am guilty of grabbing the riser too though. It’s a habit I’m trying to brake (pun intended)

Coming out early of the harness will ever be guarantee of security (better falling on the legs than on the back).

never brace to risers and never pull the brake "inside"
