Condor seems to have improved their manufacturing process. Bear from Bear Independent also runs Condor gear and says the same about it. Even to the "trolls" who say "It's airsoft gear not military gear." 😅 Like you said, when U.S isn't paying for it. Trying out inexpensive gear and seeing how it will last is a MUST! Great video, Michael! Continued prayers for your family! Shalom!

Glad to see other CONDORS out there!! I too got my inspiration for Condor gear from Bear Independent. Bear, who appears to be close to my Ht. and Wt. In the First of many, many, views, the gear looked tight, looked good when on*(that's IMPORTANT, ya know)so I figured, "why not"?, and I bit. Went all in. **(OHHH NOOO!!!!! What I just said.., did it sound...GAY??? It didn't sound gay to anyone, did it??!! It wasn't supposed to be, okay??!!)** To say that I was pleased with the gear is a gross understatement. Fit better and more durable than my old GI equipment, especially my ratty-a**ed, ceramic plate, flak jacket!!😅 And, @Tactical Preparedness, thanks for showing your chest rig and hydro pack!! Being Condor also, I know it will integrate well with the extra pouches I've got. My wife saw it, now I have to order TWO!!! *NOTE : My Bride of 37 years refuses to get B A. Too heavy. (but, she's never been shot at, either!!)lolol!!! Maybe get the chest rig on her and slowly add weight to the pouches. Might work......🤔

Afternoon Michael. Looks similar to what i run, without the hydration pack...which i like and will be looking at getting one. Thanks for the idea. ✔️ One thing i added to mine is, on the straps, i added a small flashlight pouch on one and a pepper spray pouch on the other. With those two pouches on, it also hangs a little lower than i like. 👍

You are spot-on with the idiocracy reference and that is a great movie and we are kind of already there I think. I'm also glad someone else is making videos about Condor equipment because when I first started buying Condor gear a few years back I was under the impression after I bought it but it was airsoft stuff but when I was looking at it I was like well this is pretty good quality stuff. So I wasn't sure if the airsoft reference was real but I saw an interview with one of their sales and marketing guys that shot show this year and he talked about how they did start out doing Airsoft equipment but they have moved into legitimate tactical gear and I think the quality in this product shows as well as the price it's unbeatable. Except maybe for Tacticon Armament gear. I'm actually really interested in that water bladder bag you got there cuz I didn't know you could use it to carry gear that's pretty cool.

One thing to people hesitant to buying condor is to buy one and see for yourself. I bought one rig before I heard people say they’re cheap quality so I was shocked to hear it. Because once I got it out of the package I was impressed by the $30-50 dollar chest rig quality, it was really good and really tough.

@@AsymmetricalPreparedness question Mike. Since I have a small budget. My biggest concern is being able to carry enough Ar15 and couple handgun magazines, my flashlight, and easy access to my fix blade knife while patrolling. Can I set up a chest rig to do that and just use my day backpack to carry random other things. Like first aid, water, emergency blanket/settler, and poncho or is it just to uncomfortable to wear a chest rig and day backpack? I just need advice which way to go. Your videos are great btw thanks.

Have you considered a comparison between chest rigs, plate carriers, and the old fashioned LBE? I started playing Army forty-some years ago with an LBE. Once you got past field grade and flag officers trying to dictate what hip the canteen was worn or the way the poncho was folded over the back of the belt, or which strap to wear the pouch with the field dressing, they could be pretty useful and comfortable. I never used the later renditions with angle attached mag pouches, but had used Eagle vests, Tactical Tailor modular chest right and a plate carrier. Just never got used to the way the chest rigs distributed the weight and bulk of mags and such. Of course in what I’ve seen of evolutions of “battle” belts, I’m kind of inclined to think that the LBE concept will likely come back around. Then again, like you, hoping I never need to put that stuff back on again.
@AsymmetricalPreparedness9 ай бұрын
I personally can't stand the LBE. And I used it extensively
@DutchK758 ай бұрын
The Army now has the A-TAPS that's similar to a belt kit setup. Rides low. I started that 0311 life with a LBE. It isn't my favorite thing. We were allowed to use a Y or H-Harness setup if we wanted to. I spent my own money on a H-Harness. SAW Gunners used it. An LBE is a way to carry the stuff you need. If it works for you...🤷🏼♂️ I personally still like a Alice H-Harness setup. It works. I have two USMC TAPS chest rigs that I have modded out. I like them immensely YMMV. I don't know how the LBE handles P-Mags. I have pretty much become a snob for running windowed gen 3 P-Mags exclusively. The only belt kit setup I run is with a carrier. I really don't like belts that are not suspended. Bad for the hips. But that's the price you have to pay for keeping a carrier slicked down. 4 tours in the GWOT learns you up on the fact that 7 mag loadout isn't cutting it. So if you do run a LBE. I'd add a Alice 3 mag carrier or two to your belt. And I'd run a ass pack. It makes vehicle operations almost impossible...Trade offs. On my TAPS I'm almost running Blue Force Gear pouches exclusively. Other than canteen pouches. It's the expensive route. But the stuff lays flatter than almost anything I've seen.
