Ok, great video. I like Condor product myself, while they aren't what you'd call "military grade" all the time, they aren't trash. They are a good quality construction and will serve you for most everything you want to use them for. I hunt, hike and go exploring off trail and yeah, I've been known to do a little running and gunning and my Condor gear is exactly what I need it to be. I have yet to have a single failure, however, if you buy it from Condor and you break one of the plastic clips; contact them and they will send you a replacement. That doesn't include normal wear obviously, but it's nice to know they stand behind their products.

Even in my Army days I was a gear junky. After buying a metric shit ton of cheap chest rigs, pouches and doo dads I bit the bullet and bought a Mayflower rig and vest. It's so well made and comfortable I think have found my cure to the addiction. I have some condor pouches I use for extra magazine storage and hiking/survival items on my ruck and assault packs. They work for what I need and feel I got my money's worth.

I think we just about all go through that phase..From cheap, to quality, to simple seems to be my pattern so far..Sometimes those worlds intersect depending on what it is, how important, and how often it will be used...I never heard of that piece of gear but Im gonna have to check it out now that you mentioned it. I respect your opinion
@VictoryOrValhalla147 жыл бұрын
50 Stitches Steel thanks man. If anything trust that I have bought a lot of gear and I'm not particularly proud of that lol. I hated everything issued except my poncho liner. Even that I modified by putting a zipper on it so I could use it as a lightweight sleeping bag. Still have it and still use it. I searched for quality/comfort and finally found it. I still on occasion buy holsters and mag pouches. My latest purchase was a Trex arms Ragnarok holster for my G19. I used it today running drills and that also is a fine piece of kit.

that is the newer version mine is an older generation one with a bungee cord pouch in the front but essentially the same. Its not a cheap system but well worth the cash if you have it. Nothing wrong with the Condor rig either, hope I don't sound like I'm bashing it because I'm not. I just wanted to let you know what a fellow grunt is using. retired grunt of course :P

Thanks for the review. I like mine, I have an IFAK and two pistol mag pouches on the front of mine. Only issue is I cant seem to get it tight enough. Im 6ft, 180, 44 chest. Tightened all the way down it still is loose.
@50StichesSteel4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I kind of have the same issue and I'm 6'4 250...it's meant to get bigger to fit around body armor and other gear...You can get creative and just cut the straps and burn the ends with a lighter if it's too loose. On the stretchy elastic straps it might be better to cut and sewn the ends...I hope this helped
@50StichesSteel4 жыл бұрын
Also did you remember to cross the straps in the back? So the left strap if you're looking at it from behind, will come up and across the right side of your back, over your right shoulder and will click in the the right front buckle. Same and opposite for the back right strap, up and over your left shoulder. That'll make an "X" across your back and should take up alot of slack.

This will also fit ak74 and 5.56 ak mags but ak47 mags are a stretch. Im getting a bunch of ak74 mags anyways. Its better than the nc star vism ak rig. The bungee cords snapped day 1.

Glad to hear it fits AK mags. I'm pretty skinny though. I'm 5'10" and around 135-140 pounds with a 29 inch waist size. Do you think this will be too big for me or is it pretty adjustable? It's hard to find stuff that fits my smaller frame. Also do you think it's durable enough to support the weight of a small to medium back pack? I have a tactical style back pack that I can take he straps off of and wanted to mount it to the back of one of these. Thanks.

How do you cut the straps?
@50StichesSteel5 жыл бұрын
You basically just want the clips and pouches and the one strap that goes around your waist. Keep the side attached to the magazines together, then cut off everything else except the strap that goes around your waist and back....attach the free clip ends with zip ties to your armor. Now you can just hook up your mags straight to your armor or other things and it's a quick detach system
