Investing in AGNC initially seemed like a solid choice, particularly for the dividends. However, experiencing a significant -40% loss over the past five years, which equates to around $80,000, has left me questioning whether to sell or continue holding.

Thanks for the free ideas and free content :). Would you consider adding more risk analysis, or track a portfolio of these stocks over time? @@asymmetricinvesting I like this investment idea. I was looking at births per country (western countries). have you pondered the TAM for Owlette products? USA 3.6 million births last year. UK 563,000 births. Canada: 351,000 births. EU 3.8mn, Japan and S. Korea 500,000 etc. let's say 10 million middle class babies are born per year, in markets that Owlette is serving. if Owlette products have an average price of $250 per unit and the company can sell one unit for every 1 in 10 babies born per year: A PS of 4 would put the market cap at a billion dollars. Why wouldn't Apple buy this company to add to their healthcare platform which was a big talking point for Tim Cook back in 2021 or 2022?

All of the old brand name companies have lost their position of power. Supply is not the position of power today (as it was from the end of the WW to the early 2000s) the position of power is with demand. Companies that control demand (think places consumers CHOOSE to go to like Netflix and Spotify) are where the earnings power lies. I wrote about it here: asymmetric-investing.beehiiv.com/p/value-trap

Could HIMS be negatively affected once Lilly and Novo's drug shortages are resolved?
@asymmetricinvestingАй бұрын
I've done a number of videos on this, but the short answer is yes. The longer answer is that this will be a blip on the radar long-term. Look at Hims & Hers as a platform, not just a drug provider. It gets to know you and what you need and gives it to you without the hastle of the current doctor visits and pharmacy waits. GLP-1s are also a very small fraction of revenue right now. So, it gets headlines, but isn't very meaningful to the business today.

Real estate agents just lost a collusion case that basically opens the door for Zillow to aggregate the business (pull all supply onto the site).
