While driving, I got convicted by the Holy Spirit, and I gave my life to God, in my car, all by myself. Until today, I'm am still a child of GOD and serving Him. Jimmy swagger is number one. Always has been. He went down from nothing to ministry around the world. Sending Bibles all around the world to nations who has never ever had a Bible in their lives. Preachers who never had a Bible Nations, who loves Jesus and heard about Jesus, but has never had a Bible. He sending Bibles everywhere. What a ministry. Go ahead slamming. We all have sinned and fell short from the glory of God. But if we love him with our hearts in our souls. And our minds and we are faithful and just to follow him we have hope for the kingdom of God. I don’t know Jimmy Swaggart or what goes on in his heart. It does seem like he at least preached the true Gospel at some point in his life. It’s possible that he is a genuine servant of God who sinned greatly. BUT the Bible gives us pretty clear instructions on ministry qualifications. And I think we have to be honest and say he does not fit into the “above reproach” category anymore. If we ignore the explicit instructions of scripture about ministry because of how popular or gifted someone seems to be, are we not saying that we know better than God? I personally been in a situation like this some things was part right but twisted made it sound worse then what it was then most was turned into false information where the person did not know me only knew of me from a jealous ex friend who enjoyed tearing my reputation up. God tells us people will do these things. Anything I do wrong God forgives and he states that he will not open that chapter upon you anymore. Thank God according to the Gospel he will remember no-more.

This is just muck-spreading. Yes... Jimmy Swaggart sinned. He admitted it and he repented publicly. If God forgave him, who has the right to continually throw it back in his face? We all fall short. Every one of us has failed God at some point in our Christian walk. But the beauty of the gospel is that 'If we confess our sin God is faithful and just to forgive our sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.' We all walk in the grace of God's forgiveness. Many souls have come to Christ through Jimmy Swaggart's ministry and countless people continue to be blessed. He preaches the gospel, pure and simple - unlike many other televangelists.

While I do accept the affairs with prostitutes I hate to say this I never heard of his ties with that group in Mozambique I will be VERY slow to accept what is said here at face value. Were they an evil group trying overthrow a basically good government or were a good group that was trying to overthrow an evil government? Did some of them carry the literature because of their own religious faith? I would have have PROOF of everything before accept what you say here. I don't remember those things about Swaggart back in that period.

Yes. Powerful AG preacher. But he had a deep temptation. You know, pressure can make you explode. He thought he had nerves of steel. He said that years ago. But he was very human. Vacations, hobby’s, and sleep are something Pentecostals just don’t value. You had your live a perfect life and work 24/7. That was a mistake. Over the years ministers fell apart, had breakdowns, exhaustion.. many quit, gave up. Got divorced, etc. Jimmy and more than anyone Baptist Jerry Falwell, were judgemental. Look into Falwell. Man, what a mess he made. Ask yourself if his activities were of Jesus Christ. At one point Falwell’s church threatened to let him go as pastor. Anyway, I and many others believe that false pride and this maddening over working one’s self and trying to be perfect led to the problems of swaggart and Bakker. Today, you have con men who bilk the people out of millions and live like middle eastern oil billionaires!!! They have horrible scandals!

God can forgive sins like this Swaggert man committed, but the sins absolutely disqualified him from pastoral ministry according to the Word of God. Forgiven adulterers can still serve God and others, just not as pastor any longer.

If we confess sin, he is faithful and just to forgive. Do you know what measure you judge, it will be measured back to you. Don't you know you that judge are guilty of same. Many will come to me on that day saying Lord I did all these wonderful works(cast out demons, healed the sick, ...) and I will say depart from me I never knew you. True religion is to care for the fatherless, widows, orphans. When we work for gain, our gain is our reward. We bring no material into this world, and will leave with no material. If you would be perfect, give all away and follow me. I judge no man. The words I speak will judge. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We can argue of the material and the spiritual status of another or we can work to be accounted worthy of receiving so great a salvation, and find joy therein. Debating/arguing often degenerates to a devilish diversion: it is akin to holding invaluable miraculous truth while visiting a prostitute in the muddy pig yard. As others have said, we have all fallen short of God's glory, through sinning.

I am deeply disappointed to see any pastor or preacher become wealthy like this! It goes against how the Master lived, plain and simple-Jesus did not even own a house and I believe there is an obvious reason for this, as He showed us how to live. The scriptures speak of wolves in the last days church who will “make merchandise” of you. I am not trying to dog preachers, I just don’t think it’s right that they accumulate wealthy empires through their ministry especially when people today are truly hurting. I do not think God will be pleased.💔

If Brother Swaggart is receiving royalties from his work, it's only right that he should. God didn't ordain that his ministers should live in an impoverished state. The workmen of God are worthy to receive wages from their work. The scriptures teach that.

If the figures for current net worth of Donnie and Jimmy Swaggart are correct, these men are just above the median networth for their age groups. Pretty low for some of the most well-known evangelists in the world. I used to watch Jimmy S.. in the 80s. He was a very talented showman. His gospel seemed very much like most Pentecostal preachers. He sinned with his prostitutes. But I wonder how many people have been blessed through the various ministries. I bet he did a lot more for God then many of his critics ever did. I never gave any money to Jimmy Swaggart ministries, but I'm reluctant to dismiss him as a hypocrite.

All I can say is that there is some really good fruit that has come out of the Family Worship Center...not everything and not all...but a lot of good and I thank God for that. No idea what Swagart's relationship is with God but some of the things he has put together are outstanding. Cast your stones if you must but I confess I have not done as much good as this guy.
