We wanted to test out the at home pregnancy test for our goats this year to see if it works. We are already pretty positive our goats are pregnant, but watch the video to see if the pregnancy test shows if they are pregnant or not!

A good way to get a goat to pee is to place your hand over their nose and mouth to restrict their air for about 10 seconds then release and shortly after most of the time they will pee.

We tried it and the urine didn’t settle at the bottom like the clump you had in there. It did one big fizz and foam but then disappeared. So?...

Bubbling/fizzing will automatically occur for any urine due to the pH difference. A positive test is if it continues to foam for over a minute. If it just fizzes/foams for about a minute or less then that is a negative result. I guess this method is said to be about 95% effective.

Is it just a cup of bleach you use, and then add the goat's urine? I couldn't catch that in the beginning of your video.

It wasn't really scientific. We used about a half cup or bleach and as much pee as we could collect. There is supposed to be more bleach than pee. Make sure you use different containers for each goat so you don't contaminate samples. Always add the pee to the bleach, not the other way around. Good luck and let us know your results!

m.bilal sonija they all fizzed and were really pregnant but didn’t have a goat that wasn’t pregnant at that time to test how it reacts to not pregnant urine. So the test isn’t really conclusive. The best way to test if your goat is really pregnant would be to see if she comes into heat cycle again or not. Or you can have a blood test done or have a vet check her with a scan.

Sanctus TV you’ll need a vet to come and run the test for you. It’s just a matter of taking a blood sample and sending it to a lab.
