A married designing couple (he the architect and she the interior designer), their shared vision of understated elegance resulted in the creation of Patina Farm. Once a vacant 5 acre lot, they created from scratch an authentic vision of indoor outdoor living for their three children and a plethora of pets (think dogs, chickens, goats and donkeys). They're extraordinary. That's the thing people love and admire so much about you mysterious, ingenious Americans: you can dream up and then build the most exquisite places of paradise in such astonishingly short periods of time. In Australia, in the UK etc...it would be so rare to see a couple build something like Patina Farm-- all of it. grounds and all, from scratch-- in FIVE YEARS. Unbelievable. Hats off!

I just got through binge watching probably 15 of these…and the outside yards… I haven’t even made it into the house and I had to comment gushing remarks of praise…this is going to be the best one, I can already tell. Whoever designs a window arch to match the arch of a tree needs to be given some kind of special Grand Pooh Bah-nest designation. I left my comment open until the end of the video and I would like to stand by my original assessment. Perfection.

I absolutely love this house. It is beautiful. It looks rich but lived in, it's not spread out over a mile with two or three stories. It is small really cozy and comfortable even with all the white and marble. I adore it.

This house is so lived in but in such a graceful lovely manner. I would have loved to have seen MORE of the house. But the roses are simply to die for. Love the way they vine around the patio and garden. Also I thought what a clever idea of the closet that's tucked into the thick wall by the dinning room window. What a fabulous architectural design. I will remember that should I ever get to build my dream house.

I love this home. I love the outside space even more than the interior of the house. Those gardens are heavenly. The roses are so blowsy and wonderful. The goats are lovely. The chickens are free-range. And the open air bathroom leading out to those beautiful trees-almost divine!

I followed Brooke's blog throughout the building of this gorgeous home & property. These 2 have got to be one of the most talented duos to come along. They mesh their style so perfectly & Steve is a brilliant architect I would hire without question (should I ever come to afford him.)
