I look forward to new episodes of Ruth's beautiful home and gardens. I ordered Ruth's Hungry for Home book and it is not only a delightful complication of delicious recipes but also lovely photos of the farm through the seasons. I collect cookbooks and this book is one of my favorites. Thanks, Ruth for sharing your home with all of us.

@Ruth, my best friend is from Wales, UK and she has the lovely accent. Everyone loves listening to her. She is also a fabulous gardener. Her flower gardens are 6 ft deep around her entire home. So beautiful. She is now living in Berks County, PA. I was from Berks County all of my life, now living in Sussex Cty, DE. I enjoy watching your videos, jotting down your recipes, until I was able to buy your book.

Another absolutely wonderful video of Ruth McKeaney & her lovely home and gardens! Love meeting Eileen. What an amazing talent she is gifted with! I have Ruth's lovely book and have followed her for a while now. I am still amazed at her stunning property and, of course, her cooking & baking creations!! You are inspirational and down to earth...that's what is so awesome about watching her videos! PS: Ruth how do you stay so slim with so many buttery & sweet treats you create? I am sure we all would love to know your secret to looking so amazing😘🙏!! Thank you Ruth and Homeworthy🥰

Old rock houses are my favorite and throw in a rustic barn and I'll swoon. I do have to say though..that ground cover is a type of sedum called stonecrop. Ajuga has true leaves that can be purple and it has taller blooms. Later at 27:41 is the ajuga.
@marymargaret32875 ай бұрын
I noticed that too. It’s good to point out so that viewers who may want to plant ajuga would know what it looks like and not mistake it for something else. I agree with others who have commented - this show was an enjoyable one to watch!

Ruth herself has such a lovely voice. She sounds just like Meg Ryan, which is so nostalgic for me as I grew up watching her movies (especially Anastasia!). Everything about Ruth is so warm, welcoming, and friendly, and she has infused those qualities into her entire home.

You know what! God is Amazing. I ordered your book about a week ago and I've been binge reading it everyday. Today, I stopped at the page where you have your shortbread recipe. I didn't read the recipe. I closed the book and decided to watch KZbin. Lo and behold, Homeworthy is featuring you today and your shortbread cookies...WOW!!!! When I got your book, I also made your chocolate chip cookies and they are the best cookies I've tasted. I have some frozen in the oven, ready to bake when the sweet tooth hits. I love your book, so comforting and soothing. Thank you and God Bless!💞

The farm is a labor of love and it shows. I'm excited to see what you do for daughter #2 wedding. I have put your cookbook om my birthday list. Eileen has the ability to see a garden as an artistic painting where plants are her paints. I also appreciate how much work goes into your property.

Wonderful to see how hard work pays off. As a youngster on my family farm, I swore I would never work 'in dirt' when I grew up. Time passes - now working in the garden is a welcomed joy. Then having these 'yummies from your cookbook - perfect partnership!

i just love hearing her story so much. it's just sooo inspiring to hear about all the hard work and love that went into making this place such a beautiful home. sometimes when you look at a beautiful house you just see the end product but i love so much hearing her stories about living through the renovation - having 11 kids to look after at one point - all the people that helped her, her family and friends and that wonderful garden designer. it's also really inspiring to me to hear that she tried gardening on her own for 3 years and nothing would grow... and look at her garden now! one of the most beautiful in the world. i'm a couple years into my gardening journey and she inspires me so much to know that she also started out like me. ultimate homemaker inspiration

Yummmm... that shortbread looks amazing. When you said you could add things... my mind went immediately to lemon zest and lavender ! The basic recipe is so simple , even I can do it! I know you said 350'.. but did you say how long to bake it? Of course , the gardens are breath taking. Starting with so many large established trees is my dream! How do you keep the window box because I have two that are like them from getting the house wet because I have regular siding and I don’t want to rot this side of my house underneath my windows
@gregpendrey67115 ай бұрын
Hi Suzanne. Slip some shims vertically behind the window box to fur it out from your siding a half inch for air circulation. A liner with a drain through the front an inch from the bottom will prevent the box from rotting for a long time. Hope this helps. Ruth is becoming a presence that has been missing don't you think? Oh, micro drip on a timer is really helpful for folks in sun that need to water twice a day!
