AT Last! First Trip To The River Of 2024 - Dry Fly Fishing

2024 has had a very slow start to the Fly Fishing Season on the River Exe. It's still cold, currently around 8 degrees, cold wind and lots of rain. However, one evening looked okish and I met with my friend on his beat. I caught and he blanked :)

Loved watching this I’ve just started fly fishing on the rivers and creeks in Cornwall very addictive hopefully heading to Dartmoor next couple days if there’s a break in the weather

I understand that if you fish the higher stretches on Dartmoor they don’t suffer so much in the rain with high levels. Further downstream you get more run off and the levels rise. Beautiful place to go though so good luck 🤞. Thanks for watching

Sadly didn’t make it up had few out on my local again today but it’s to small to fly fish with my kit I’ve ordered a matchcatch 6’ #2 weight for creek fishing hopefully that will help
