This is very nice from a cinematic and literary standpoint; still what bugs me is the soap opera proclivity of broadcasting all of that criminal evidence to the extended family and community instead of to the police and the district attorney -- both of which are charged the investigation and resolution of matters like this. In the Reddit community, this would have returned an ESH verdict. Was Emma kept in the dark about her husband's activities? Yes, she was. Did all that white-collar crime need to be brought above-ground? Absolutely!! Was the public whistleblowing in lieu of a police apprehension the route to go? Definitely not!!! Emma needs to have it explained to her that there do exist white collar criminals that are of the attitude that espionage is a capital offense; if so detected, she would have been slain. I am of pride for Emma blowing the whistle about what her ex-husband has done; still, the route to go is through law enforcement. Once John and Sara are behind bars (hopefully for at least a decade!), it is at that point Emma should let the cat out of the bag. Another objection I have to this plot is its unnerving parallels to secondary school. Kids and adolescents gossip and persecute because they have not been taught any better; this is why they are under the legal jurisdiction of their family government. The physiological fact that it is not until they attain a quarter-century that many youths are of the cerebral development to internally regulate themselves to prosecute the "caveat emptor" computation about whether to sign on with a certain employer/landlord versus another or to discern between capital purchases; still, that only is possible with dexterous family government that has accurate data and truly wants competence for the young adult. Emma blowing the whistle to her extended family like she did her along with storming up on John demanding answers has me questioning whether these are real adults or merely oversized adolescents; even if I were not the direct target of such a witch hunt, I really would not want to reside in a community where this is even hinted as being okay. The United States has the judicial principle "innocent until proven guilty beyond all reasonable doubt" for a reason.
