Cutting ties with toxic family members is a must. They can make you mentally ill and physically ill so you have to get away. I can understand why she didn’t want to go back and see her mother. Why should she go back to visit somebody who emotionally abused her. She was always treated like dirt, so why should she go back there? I’m glad she cut ties. She had to for her physical health and her emotional health. She collapsed because she was working hard to pay her way through school and yet the other sister was getting everything that is not right. I’m sorry treat your children equally love them equally don’t favor one over the other.

That was Psycho. I don't care what she did, Op should have went to visit her mom on her death bed. People need to know. God says if you can't forgive one another, he can't forgive you. There is no sin other than blasphemy against the holy spirit better than any other sin. We have all fallen and come short of the glory of God. No one is perfect, other than Jesus Christ. Her forgiveness to her mother, isn't just for her mother, it's also closure for her.
