Stealth site in a parking lot (mi. 944.5) to Stealth tent site (mi. 964) Exhausted tonight. It was a long day, but we got lucky and found a pretty good tent site which saved us almost another mile of walking. The morning started off good with a quick 9 mile hike to the Elkwallow Camp store and my 3rd 🐻 sighting. He was running across the other side of the road, and I was glad he didn’t get hit by a car. At the camp store I bought some good grub and enough supplies to get me to Saturday noon where I will be picked up to go to my buddy Joe’s house. I plan on taking a zero there for Father’s Day. Took off after the store and shortly met a guy named “Ribeye”, out for a day hike in our direction. He gave us a clementine and some watermelon. He ended up hiking with us the rest of the day and was going to hitch hike back to his car. Planning on either 16.7 or 19 tomorrow depending on how the afternoon goes.
Todays menu: Blue bunny waffle sundae cone, Iced honey bun, cowtale, Two 28 oz. Gatorades, bottle of ginger ale, ham & Swiss lunchable, salt & vinegar pringles, clementine, 1 chicken tender, handful of fries, small amount of watermelon, granola & banana freeze dried meal, and water.
