Telephone Pioneers shelter (mi. 1451.2) to State Pavilion campsite (1469.6) Good day today, actually got a chance to jump in a river and swim for a bit. The day started off though with a 3.6 mile hike to a roadside deli for a great breakfast. We hung out there and dried stuff out from last nights thunderstorms. In the afternoon we had our swim then hit a country store just off trail around 5 pm. From there we hiked until about 6 pm and set up for the night. I will be meeting my friends Shawn & Buster at a road crossing at 9 am tomorrow morning, looking very forward to it! 💕
Today’s menu: Gatorade protein bar, bacon egg & Swiss bagel, 2 donuts, bottle of chocolate milk, bottle of ginger ale, 28 oz. Gatorade, pint of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, freeze dried meal, bottle of orange juice, bag of honey Fritos, ice cream sundae cone, bag of Swedish fish, Cliff bar, and water with Gatorade powder mix.
