I like how Barry is looking at Bill as if he's still the veteran. He let's him answer the question first most of the time. Even after all these years of working and traveling together still got that respect.

When they are watching the WM4 match vs Strike Force, Sean says "from Trump Plaza". Trump promoted it BUT it took place in the Atlantic City Convention Center. Trump Plaza is a Hotel/Casino bldg.

1:18:15 Smash gives a very fair assessment of Jesse's term as Governor of MN. With both the Republicans and Democrats working against him and facing a perpetually hostile press, Jesse did seem to lose patience and get flustered. And as Smash notes, "How...how many independents are there?"

Two of the finest gentleman I've seen in this business. The Masked Superstar was my first ever favorite wrestler. I was upset to lose that character so early in the 80s but I did enjoy all of Barry Darsow's characters throughout the Mid-South, Georgia and Mid-Atlantic, so when they paired up, it was respected. Two of the best ever and very tough men.

I wasnt a big Demolition fan growing up , never liked the dominatrix outfits but after watching this interview i decided to go back and rewatch a few of their matches...total pros! They had such a great ring awareness and understanding of pro wrestling basics Even having Mr. Fuji somehow it all worked...

I've always really liked both Bill and Barry, but are we going to pretend that, when Animal was still living, they didnt admit it was a Road Warrior rip-off, and it wasnt until after he died, they started saying it wasnt and how they were "as big or bigger" than the Warriors? Not saying that they were scared of him, but after he died (and with Hawk long dead) it became a case of "now we're telling the story the way we want". Taking nothing from them at all, Vince literally created them after he couldnt sign the Warriors in 87, and called Demolition "OUR Road Warriors". Everyone then knew it..they were the most popular, the best workers and most successful of the Road Warrior clones. Sadly, Vince rushed it, and with Flair-Hogan, it became the most egregiously ruined angle in wrestling history, imo..(though, there may have been some in the past decade or so, I dont watch the new product)

Demolition was bigger than road warriors from 88-90. Far more people knew or watched Demolition than Road Warriors. They were on cards with Hogan in front of 10-15k ppl 3-4x a week. Road Warriors wrestled in front of 15k ppl 1-2x a year at that time

They were not "Road Warrior" clones. Powers of Pain 100% were, but Demolition was a more creative gimmick. They took the gimmick from the same movie that Ole Anderson did, but copied a different character. All of the gimmicks came from the same source, and of course the success of the Road Warriors made wearing face paint popular, but they were actually quite different from each other. They looked totally different, and they worked totally differently. It's only the leather and the face paint that is similar.

@@KHLB516 A: they (and therefore I, in the explanation) were talking about being physically bigger and they werent. B: youre WAY off on the numbers, and even if you werent, the Warriors made WAY more money than Demolition. Research the Warriors popularity in Japan. They were arguably bigger in Japan than Hogan was in America as the Japanese fans were more serious about the wrestlers. Their arrival in Japan in 85 shut down Tokyo International Airport. They sold out the Tokyodome countless times on their own. Show me one example of where Demolition sold out anywhere as the main event. No one mentions the "Demolition pop"

@@handsolo1209 Nope. Watch the earliest shoot videos of Demolition ADMITTING it was a rip-off. Or interviews from others talking about how badly Vince wanted the Warriors. When he couldnt sign them in 87, he invented Demolition. Also, again: he LITERALLY called them "OUR Road Warriors"..every promotion had a clone team bc of their success. Yes, PoP were another clone team, but created TO 'challenge' the Warriors and created by the same people.

@@JackBarrett7no you’re wrong. The Road Warriors stole their look and name from the film Road Warrior. The character they directly copied was Golden Youth. Demolition copied Humungus. Both are post apocalyptic gimmicks taken from the film road warrior. Hawk and Animal didn’t touch the numbers Demo did. Demolition had the WWF crowd behind them and killed the Road Warriors NWA. Hawk and Animal couldn’t do anything except squash match’s and that got old which is why they had to constantly move from territory to territory. It got boring really quick. Bill Eadie had vast knowledge of how to put a match together and Darsow was young and could sell his butt off for a guy almost 300 lbs. last but not least this was recorded when Animal was still alive. Edit: I attended a sold out house show with Demolition as the main event against the Twin Towers. Not to mention that Masked Superstar Bill Eadie was a huge name in Japan as well and main evented with Baba and Andre.

Demolition were 10 times the team of LOD but not as good as the Road Warriors. LOD v Demo should of ran a whole year. Vince messed both teams up to fit in the LOD but made them a joke.
