I've decided to start uploading my ATD-I video collection, some of this stuff was pretty rare when I got it so I imagine it'd be even harder to find now. Video uploaded under Fair Use doctrine etc etc, I'm just trying to get these videos out there.
Another Channel V video. Know more, let me know.

El Duderino every song they played on this show was amazing. I think pattern against use here is maybe there best single live song ever.

I would listen to this on my way back home from working construction. It takes me back to sitting in that seat and being stuck in traffic. My dad would drive usually but would sometimes ask me to. I hardly see him anymore

Vaya remains one of my fav albums of all time - one of the few that grabbed me right away, normally I'd have to listen to something a bunch of times before I really develop a feel for it, but Vaya was just perfect for creating a journey.

This live event from Channel V was some of ATD-i's best live work, it sounds like a cd is being recorded, but its just them playing live. This take and the BBC session was incredible. AND THEY HAD FUCKING JIM WARD, he just does so much more than keeley. It sucks. I miss this lineup more than i care for the actual reunion. I bought the new record because it is good, but its definitely missing it's like milk to the cereal. Cedric's higher range after TMV though probably caused some issues, but its really unfair to jim if the boys were just so stuck on doing a mars volta version of atdi without ward. It's sad.

Saw them with Jim in 2012 and numerous times after. Keeley does more than you think. For instance he wrote Ghost Tape 9 on the come back album. Numerous sources have said Jim originally said yes to 2016, then decided against it during rehearsals. He personally recommended Keeley who was with him in Sparta. He also wasn't on El Gran Orgo (first release with Omar on guitar back in 98) which is a strong EP.

Cedric + Jim makes ATD-i in my opinion, Omar and Cedric make TMV obviously, but I feel that way like super protective of it too, it just makes so much sense if you start back at the beginning and follow the timelines as you go, clearly the times without ward just dont make TIMELESS MUSIC. with jim from acrobatic all the way to RoC, ATD-i's best material was from Hell paso, Alfaro, Acrobatic, In casino, vaya, and RoC. I personally have a soft spot for El gran orgo because I was a young kid in 2003 or 04, and went on an 8th grade field trip to new orleans, we had to pay a lot to go, but i begged and found a way. We stopped in a music or record store, and they had one copy of el gran orgo and one copy of in casino out, I was gonna get in casino, but my friend was like you can just borrow my copy and listen to it, and it was still tough to find quality p2p downloads back then. I never realized until I was older, that new orleans had close ATD-i history involving the band "fall on deaf ears" and once i borrowed in casino I quickly was brought to speed. I was cold, austere. It was weird at the time and still is to me, that a band I liked so much, and I ended up in a place where they had been through some tough times. Oddly enough the grunge band Nirvana is right up there with atd-i as some of my favorite bands, and after playing the card game Magic: The gathering for a while, I won a tournament which qualified me a spot on their profssional tour along with a paid trip to seattle for the big pro curcuit event. During my down time, I went and saw Kurt's former home. I signed the bench, and the bench is literally maybe 20 feet from the window where Kurt either was killed or where he died of suicide. The sight is haunting. Sends chills through your bones, but it also felt right. I someone from kentucky, miles away from grunge and punk, ended up naturally being pulled to these locations without really realizing it at the time. I just connect to these artists on that level. My music is hardly good enough to even begin to try it feels sometimes. I wish I had a band that just gave a fuck as much as I do, but unlike ATD-i my band has the Nirvana issue, instead of having too many cooks in the kitchen like ATD-i claims, I end up feeling like billy corgan, just grinding through all the parts of the music, even though im not a great drummer or singer or guitarist or bassist, but I force myself to keep fighting because everyone else is so dead inside and want to do nothing. I grew up with inspirations from people that did something. In this boring ass town of louisville kentucky, it reminds me of a little bit of both of a big city like seattle, but comboing it with a gritter town similar to el paso, not in terms of the border and the impact that it has, nor juarez, but in combination some of that gets compressed or weeded out by default. I call my home town the Seattle of the south, because it rains, and pours, its near a lot of water being off the ohio river, and its the northwest most liberal point in the south probably. It never looks new or good here, the city is fine, but the out skirts are always rusted or deteirorating it seems. We had a nice skatepark, but due to increases in highway traffic they had gotten rid of it, i think, which was like the only thing to do other than drinking or using. The one thing people forget about my town is this: "We keep louisville weird".... Louisville is known for horses and college basketball.... and not having a true focus. I feel like its time that we understood what that mean instead of just blatently wearing it on our sleeves. I feel like that means one of the most punk ideals I've ever heard of that no one has ever really heard of. You cross that true grit with the cold hard truth and agony, you get that weird and nasty sound. It's time for some weird and nasty punk rock music.

I'm sorry to say that, but that could've been so much better without Omar's guitar. It's as if his mission was to destroy the climate built by the other band members. His weird delays in the intro, his guitar tone - it just sounds awful. Other band members are really focused and he just plays some random notes once for a while hitting the right one. Thanks god he performs that song so much better now.
