To all the people complaining about the crowd, I was there and can explain: the wire was tiny, and the band was so loud it was painful and we were completely unable to discern one sound from the other. It may sound great on video, but in person the show was just a wall of unlistenable distortion.

That and how many of us were just hearing this band for the first time? If I could go back and see this show again now I'd be going crazy for sure.

Happens to every freaking opener band. I saw deafheaven on their snbthr tour and people are not digging them and they were the main liner

This is the most mind blowing video I've ever seen on KZbin. I was a sophomore in high school and this was this first show I ever went to. Thank you so much for recording and sharing this.

I'm in the near front, kid with long bowl cut and glases. I remember to this day how at the 0:31 mark, Cedric grabbed me by my neck and sang right into my face. I can't speak for everyone else in the crowd, but I was just in awe of them, too shocked to really move. I had not seen a band like them live before. I was hooked immmediately. I bought in/CASINO/OUT right after this. Been a fan since. Thank you posting!

The bowling alley, the classroom, and now this one. My trinity of ATDI performances lol. Lopsided has now become my favorite song of theirs.

This the best. Literally. The best. It's weird to see them before the money and the press comes along. No overtly curly hair in sight. I don't think people realize how long they were together before Relationship of Command. Look at their timing! It's crazy how hard you work to be better musicians when your younger, and better artists when your older.

The quality of the live sound and the energy is amazing here compared to most of the live videos I find of them. This one is just mesmerizing. Nothing beats these types of shows.

That was me! (Well, one of um) and I promise I wasn't critiquing, I was trying desperately to make out any of the music which I couldn't do because it was deafening. What I wish was that I didn't give af and wore earplugs. Then I'd be able to actually enjoy it.
