I love this. I discovered you from Taylor's channel and I think we live in the same area (at the time of this video). Too cool. I was born in Zanesville so that's interesting that Carrie is from there too!

Really enjoying your videos, Cody, I’m cheap too, lol. On my first backpacking trip my friend brought a huge pasta salad, enough for 10 (only 4 on the trip). Another girl brought 6 beer in bottles! We were younger then with strong backs. Did you and Carrie hike together very much on the AT?

Love this so much!!!! I'm so thrilled that you guys linked up!! I know I understand reached out to you both a couple months ago-- my wife and I wound up totalling our car in PA and not making it off on the road trip we had planned unfortunately. We're happy and healthy though, and thrilled to see that you two met up!

Hey hey hey Cody! Wow, Wow! 😂 What a great video! Very cool that this was the trail that got you hooked on backpacking. That barn was hella creepy especially that wig! You two had way way way too much fun out there! Kudos for taking care of the fires. As you experienced so many people don’t. Did you get a new tent or just switching up? So glad you are making time to be on trail and giving us great videos to watch! I can’t wait for some winter trips! 🙏 Thanks for bringing us along today. I hope tomorrow’s miles are kind. Keep truckin’ and be well. #giveashit -Grateful ❤️💙🌹💀🌹💙❤️

I actually brought my older orange tent with me because it’s hunting season in Ohio and wanted to make sure I was visible! I can’t wait for some winter content too! ⛺️

That looks like a great area to hike. Love exploring old buildings too. My only experience with Ohio was when my brother was at the university of Dayton. Looks like the state has a lot to offer

As far as the rock exploding. It all depends on the type of rock. If it is a rock that is porous then water can infiltrate into the pore spaces. Water heats up and turns to steam, expands and boom! If it's a dense rock with no pore spaces it is totally safe around a fire and won't explode 🤓. In general, igneous and metamorphic rocks won't have pore spaces. In Ohio most rock at the surface is sedimentary and those can be porous.
