Honestly one of the best presented gear walk thru's I have seen. I'm trying to get more into filming my daughter and I's trips mainly for memories and eventually dive into gear videos. We started off super cheap with gear that worked and are slowly upgrading a few items. I have a long way to go with working on my nervousness on camera.

Hey Cody! So great to see you on trail again! This is an amazing how to video! I really liked how you presented your gear choices, which I think were all great! Your choices really show that there are amazing options for gear available from many different vendors, and that you don’t need to spend your life savings to get them! I never heard it called a doodad bag but I love it! Not sure the sailors back in the day that coined the term ditto bag (which evolved into ditty) knew what a doodad was but if you ever wanted to sell your own gear you could totally sell Cody’s doodad bag! I would buy one in a heart beat! As we have all said before, you are a natural on camera and we can’t wait to see more of your adventures! I hope your re-immersion into society and the job search are going well. You are awesome and I know you will crush it! 🙏 Thanks for bringing us along today. I hope tomorrow’s miles are kind. Keep truckin’ and be well. #giveashit -Grateful ❤️💙🌹💀🌹💙❤️

Cody so good to see you again!! That was an excellent gear review. Maybe the best one we have ever seen. It was professional quality. You are very well organized. When we watched you with Taylor we always noticed that your pack was compact and it fit you well. Curious what was your base weight minus food and water?
@hair20502 жыл бұрын
Interesting you mention compact pack. Yes it is. He could have very easily put the tent on top of the drybag inside the pack whereby bringing the weight closer to the body. So why not? Because it’s wet and dirty I suppose. Anyway good review.

Excellent first video !! Refreshing to see even an AT veteran struggles with that bear hang at times. At least you didn’t do my most embarrassing moment. While showing some fellow trail users how to do a PCT style hang, I pulled off an absolutely perfect underhand toss. Just as my rock bag was about to do a perfect slam dunk over the limb it abruptly fell to earth and nailed me on the head. I was standing on the damn paracord !! Can’t wait to see your future YT offerings.
