It is important for pilgrims to try to come with the expenses for the journey. It seems that the journey from Najaf and Karbala represents conservative authority attaching to a feeling of success despite material defeat. If those who are considered to be Muslim who are not Shia were as devout, they could mobilize a force of over a hundred million yearly and those who oppress would not be allowed to rule anywhere.

Who said they don't have money for the journey that is an assumption. Many from west go with money but are served there. It is missing the point a bit they don't service people because they don't have the money they do it out of kindness and generosity for love of the Prophet grandson. As Prophet said I am from Hussain and Hussain is from me in an authentic hadith which sunni have. How is the Prophet from Hussain? The meaning is Hussain would save the faith his grandfather brought.

@@JaefarSABNW It isn't true anyway forget standard. If someone doesn't have wealth but has tawakkal that far better. That is high level eman Allah will provide. When Abu Dhar passed anyway he was poor but taught his daughters surah Waqiah that provides sustenance. Not saying you shouldn't earn living you should. But neither should you say can't do this or that because of money. If you trust in Allah you will find a way.
