Hey since your the goto know it all of Atari lynx......hows the gauntlet 3 or zybots or whatever they named it. Was watching a video over at patmanqc's channel and figured you'd be the one to ask since your the lynx officianado from what im told. So lynx master please inform me is the game worth buying or atleast worth a playthrough for a gauntlet fanboy. Im not emulating im gonna buy if you say it's worth my time. I got a few lynx units 1 new in box sealed. I'm trying to see if theres a way to link systems thru the net for multiplayer using the real units. I used my arduino to duplicate a way to play multiplayer (3) units but i can't get it to work thru the net. Kind of a stadia issue so to speak if your familiar with its issues that they had with lag and delay. Do u need a game pak on each unit of can u use 1 game to link multiplayer play

Xybots is one of the best games on the Lynx in my opinion with a kick-ass soundtrack. It was originally going to be called Gauntlet 3D (Ed Logg designed both games) but ended up becoming its own thing. In many ways its like an early version of Doom. As for Gauntlet: The Third Encounter, it's not really a Gauntlet game because it started off as a game called Time Quests & Treasure Chests, which was partly inspired by Gauntlet but more RPG like. Once Atari acquired the Lynx from Epyx they wanted it changed into a Gauntlet game , which the author wasn't entirely happy with. It's a good game, but just don't go expecting an evolution of Gauntlet II. For multiplayer each person has to have a game.
