What a wonderfully colourful promo magazine; the screenshots do a good job of showing just how pretty the Lynx games could be. It was a nice little retrospective exploring older game magazines like this and particularly in spotting which games were advertised but never released.

Thanks for sharing those magazines with us. 🙂 The Lynx was released in 1989 and Atari were planning a 1992 release for Xybots which by that point would've been rather old. It should've been among the original line up of titles when the machine was launched because then the arcade game would've been fresher in consumers minds.

Didn't Atari do something like this for the Jaguar too?

Yeah, JAG Mag (Jaguar Advanced Gaming) it was given away with a magazine (Edge maybe? I can't remember) and in stores. It also had games in it that never came out.
