I definitely agree about this art style. I can't stand it 99% of the time, where it's just supposed stylization masking a lack of talent/effort/budget. Here, though, it actually makes sense.

Your welcome. It's available on pretty much every modern platform I believe, such as Switch, Playstation, XBox and Steam but I chose to play on VCS. Actually that's the only "modern" console I have but my son has all that other stuff lol

The obvious next step is Atario Party: A Mario Party clone but with Atari themed minigames.

Great overview and perspective, Jon. I bought the physical release of Atari Mania for the Nintendo Switch without knowing anything about the game. I bought it simply because it was something about Atari. I haven't played it yet, but your review gives me a very good understanding of what to expect. I do agree that the Atari 50 collection appears to offer more value.

I'd give it a try when you can. It's nostalgic and fun for Atari fans but the 50th collection just gives you those feelings and experiences in a better way. Thanks for watching!

@@CrowBoy-p7f I don't know as I didn't complete it. I didn't get very far into it at all, but yeah I don't get the feeling it's a very long game. I would recommend Atari 50 or Flashback Collection on the Switch over Atarimania.

I didn't enjoy this game. You mentioned the odd controls. Sometimes I don't know what the game wants me to do no matter how many times I try. Frustrating.
