The first release of photoshop was Mac only. You needed a pretty good setup though. At minimum, a Macintosh II, IIx, IIcx, IIci, SE, or SE/30; Hard disk; 2 megabytes RAM; Apple system software 6.0.2 or later. Windows didn’t come for a couple years later. I was a regular beta tester for several of the early releases in the early 90’s and did some programming work on some plugins and even worked with John knoll several times on some custom plugin code.

I'm so glad the box with all the omiyage arrived safely! The fans and towels were from something I backed on KS last year. I recall you mentioning you wanted to visit Japan but the pandemic stopped you guys. Japan can be incredibly hot in the summer and it's not uncommon to see people walking around with umbrellas, fans and towels to deal with the heat and sweat. I think you will be impressed with the PC Engine when you put it into the perspective the game console was released in 1987 against the Famicom (NES.) Also, both the Apple Park campus and the original campus at 1 infinite loop have a store each with their own unique shirts and other merch.

Hi. I new that NAG was a name for a horse. I am from the USA, but have not heard that term for a long time. So I think it used to be used more. However to be fair. I did also live overseas for 8 years as a kid and picked up some old english words as well as slight accent as a kid. The accent is gone, bu perhaps that is why the word NAG was familiar to me. As always, as an 70-80's kid I really enjoy the show.

I said retro is anything 16 bit and below, I'm glad most people agreed. Last time I commented on this, I had someone say that it"s anything up to N64. LOL
@NoshAbroad3 жыл бұрын
Even that is problematic as The Sega Genesis / MegaDrive is powered by a Motorola 68000. This CPU can execute 32-bit instructions. Does that mean it is not retro? Console generation is more definite as it identifies the era and consoles involved. I believe your line would be between 4th and 5th generation consoles. Basically systems like the SNES and Neo Geo where CD-ROMs were often an accessory and not the primary form of software distribution (PC Engine Rom Rom & Genesis Sega CD.) Because nostalgia is often generational, it would be a moving target. I would call retro something that happens when the a particular generation gets old enough to remises about it's youth (typically in ones late 30s and early 40s). Get Z (1997 - 2012) is still too young for this so that would be Millennials (1981 - 1996) waxing poetic over the late 90s and early 2000s which would include 5 and 6th generations systems but primarily the PS2, Xbox and Game Cube.
@talsingh4513 жыл бұрын
@@NoshAbroad how about simplify it further and say, anything before 3D?
@NoshAbroad3 жыл бұрын
@@talsingh451 SNES, PC Engine both had examples of 3D on their platforms. Even the 1989 Black and White Game boy had Face Ball and "X" a legitimate 3d shooter released on them. does this mean we would have to go back to only systems before the Vectrex? That doesn't make any sense.
@talsingh4513 жыл бұрын
@@NoshAbroad then I think it's best to stick to what I said before, 16 bit and before. Disregard those few 32 bit cartridges you mentioned, were played on a 16 bit machine.
