What's happening Mike, I couldn't tell what you were doing with the ground wire mod in the bottom of the cabinet, but did you add a quick disconnect so when you remove the head you don't have to desolder the wire? Lol I was wondering if the plug wire was routed correctly before you install the new plug. Thanks for sharing

Yo bro!! Yep indeed! Just loosen the screw in the cabinet and the wire slips out! I have another power supply I will test today :)

You used a Super Capacitor inside of using a backup battery to remember the high score? I'm not sure if that is considered good to have all those ground wires and different grounds. Its suppose to have all the ground to one star location at the transformer metal chassis. When you have multiple ground wires it creates more noise and hum issues.

@@pinballshenanigans So you can use 1 farad or 1.5Farad super capacitor at 5.5v it seems

This game is System 80A, right? Connectors are definitely important here, they could be what's leading to improper voltages causing the game to not boot. I would check every connector and see if any look suspicious. Also the edge contacts need to be good too, and sadly they're the weak point of this era (trust me, my Pinball Pool gave me SO much grief because of that). The other thing I would do is maybe dial up the power supply a bit to 5.03 volts instead of right at 5. That power gets some resistance going through the wires, so compensating a bit shouldn't hurt it.
