So the only code you may or may not see is nox conversion effiencey low. When they get old or way to excessive idle time the metals inside degrades and fails to convert nox anymore. The acm can be in diff locations depending on what year your truck is. Some times its on d/s by wheel well fender, others its above batteries,and on these new ones its on p/s by atd one box.

Hi, Thank you for your videos. Have you ever fixed SCR closed loop by updating a software? I’ve already checked everything and in all other weather conditions I have 97-98% of efficiency but when I drive for a while through mountains or extremely hot weather my efficiency drops and NH3 comp factor drops

@@bestweststarinc6607 software should always be updated as there is always improvements. But unfortunately there is still no magic fix for closed loop faults. Many units still struggle with this and unfortunately some fixes are trying new aftermarket devices.

Thanks for reaching out. Both those are not actual code numbers spn or fmi so just going off the names you put down id say that the dpfs are full and need a regen.There might be an issue with your fuel doser injector not delivering fuel to the aftertreatment which might be just a nozzle cleaning or hydrocarbin doser block replacement. Id try doing a regen and see what happens. If it fails than you would need diag software to test the system.Hope that helps.

@@piksipiksi502 thanks for reaching out. well the easy answer is you probably got a raccoon trapped in the eng compartment looking for a way out. If that’s not the case , than there is a few different knocks. Fuel knock usually not on hills. Oil knock which could be hill related , check ur oil level and make sure ur not low. And lastly mechanical knock which could be as simple as a valve train adjustment screw loose which I have in another video. So it comes down to what area is the knock coming from and can you duplicate it without a hill, possibly a Dyno. And if u have a aftertreatment warranty than even better because this may be getting expensive

Mr knuckle. I have a ? So I have this fault ON THIS DD15 FREIGHTLINER CASCADIA2015 codes. scr nox conversion efficiency very low 4364 1. And scr nox conversion efficiency low 4364 18.. 8. But for some reason everytime this truck comes back from MIAMI TO LOS ANGELES. The check yellow engine light comes back on. With this same codes. But everytime I Perform a regeneration. The conversion efficiency is up to 0.88608. Or sometimes 0.78403. And for some reason the ADS DEF QUALITY REQUEST IS 454.8 and the Real DPF QUALITY DOSED QUALITY IS THE SAME . THE DEF PRESSURE IS 144.69 PSI .CAN YOU HELP PLEASE. . GOOD WORK PUTTING EVERYTHING BACK TOGETHER... I saw you replace the wiring sensor harness.. do you have too replace it for a new one. Its necessary? .

Great questions man, I always like ensuring I use new parts on the atd onebox that was nothing else fails later. Just makes sense to do it all now while its out of the truck. Price is only a bit more for that small harness. Most nox codes happen on heavy grades due to just not being able to keep up with cleaning the system. Depending on how many miles are on the unit say over 600k than most likely cause would be the onebox it starting to deteriorate internally. The metals only last so long and with most fleets we expect to see them being replaced around 500k or 600k. I would just ensure the doser is dosing the correct amount of def. No sensors are drifting or spiking when doing a regen. After that if your doing a regen and nox conversion eff stays under 80% than I would definitely lean towards replacing that hunk of junk. Hope that helps.

Thanks for watching and reaching out. This particular truck had 600k miles on it. Some fail earlier and some fail later. Idle time has a lot to do with it. Hope that helps.

I will tell you that 2014-1018 model cascadias had this issue with the abs relays not self checking and this code was part of that. The fix there is a new HSA relay harness and new ABS ecu. But not seeing what’s it’s doing and getting into detail it’s a little hard to t/s.

Going to freightliner would be your best bet as fleet companies normally don’t take on this big task. Plus when it comes to specialty tools there the only ones that have them all.
