You are just reassemble something that the chinese call a synchronous motor. But actually it's just looked like a stepper motor.

How we can make a rotating magnetic field with a single coil and single phase input?
@km4hr2 жыл бұрын
I've been looking everywhere for the answer to this question. It seems to be a huge mystery. Obviously the stator magnetic field doesn't rotate. There must be something going on in the rotor, such as hysteresis that causes a delay in creating a magnetic field. Perhaps this delay results in a rotor magnetic field that is out of phase with the fluctuating field in the stator? But the rotor in the motor I've disassembled is magnetic, which would not require an induced magnetic field. So the mystery remains.

Good one. What is the polarity of the magnet, is it just N and S, one half of the magnet disc is North and the other half is South? or the top half is North and bottom half is south?

one thing i did not understand how can ac rotate the magnet? there should be the arrangement of a capacitor

This does not make sense to me either. But I'm certain it is not a split-phase motor. Looking further into it, the flux lines would appear to be parallel to the rotor magnet. Look into axial flux motors perhaps. It appears to have North and South poles on the top and bottom of the coil which alternate according to the current direction. The magnet tries to flip but can't because it's held in place by the axial and so it results in a rotational velocity. That's an explanation I have made up for how it works. It's been stated it's a synchronous motor which means the RPM should equal the frequency of supply current multiplied by 60. For this motor, 150/60 = 2.5 Hz frequency of his supply perhaps. It doesn't even appear these synchronous motor formulas work with this motor but that's how it's normally done.

you are correct. single phase AC motors are not self starting, and you need more than 100V AC and high voltage AC to kick start a motor, which you will need to use a capacitor for that. but at 15V AC, its not high enough to kickstart the motor and it won't rotate. so he must be using something or hiding something to make it spin, since an AC single phase motor cannot start by itself, unlike 2 phase AC an 3 phases, and you do need a high voltage for the capacitor to start the motor.

Whats the rpm....... and the stator is magnet or what

the stator is the coil in this instance.

Actually.... this is synchronous motor..... he disamble and rewind it.... nothing is change.......,..... the rotor is round disc magnet.... and the coil is simply just that.. but the metal teeth six teeth in stator between coil and magnet makes it possible to rotate....
