Mingi (the other rapper) was on hiatus which is why you do not see him in Fireworks but he recorded his part before. You should check out the live stage of HALA HALA. San has actually broken multiple mics performing that song live. More recommendations: Pirate King (debut song), Say My Name, Thanxx, The Real, Turbulence, Wave, Answer, Treasure, Don’t Stop, Halazia, and Eternal Sunshine. There are two rappers in Ateez. First there is Hongjoong the ‘heheh’ guy, his rap trademark is a giggle or chuckle he makes before his part, he is the leader of Ateez although he is called a captain from atiny and ateez and one of the only two members that make up the ‘98 line. Then there is the deep voice guy Mingi, he also has a trademark he says “fix on” which means you should fix your attention on him and listen to his rap. It’s also a wordplay with his name because his full name is Song Mingi and if you repeatedly say fix on you can hear song which just indicates once again you should fix on to Song Mingi. As for your question why there were only 7 members in the Fireworks mv, it’s because Mingi was on hiatus during this period but he still has his verse in the song and parts in the whole album as they recorded it before he went to hiatus. I highly recommend to watch their dance practices because for me they are so satisfying and are like a whole performance itself. Also if you want to know more about their personalities and their history and lore I recommend watching the guide the ultimative guide to Ateez 2023, it’s long but really worth the time. As for others mvs I recommend watching their debut songs “pirate king” and “treasure”, as well as “answer”, “wave”, “turbulence” and “say my name”

Y’all’d probably enjoy Ateez’s little brothers Xikers. Their debut album & song is called Tricky House & they have a goblin theme. Hongjoong was instrumental in the writing of the tracks on that album & it has a slight Ateez feel. Seonghwa also raps (the one who opened Fireworks). What a great way to start the new year. Your reactions are amazing, and I'm loving your trip down the Ateez rabbithole. I've seen a lot of recommendations so I'll just double down on songs like answer, thanxx, the real, and rocky. I'd love to see you guys check out some of the more emotional/softer songs as well. For those I'd recommend aurora, turbulence, dreamers(japanese), and Eternal Sunshine. I'm also really surprised that I haven't seen any comments that have recommended The Black Cat Nero. It's a cover/collab but it goes so hard. Ateez is definitely a group you have to check out dance practices for, honestly these boys just go beyond 100% in every dance practice and their choreo is amazing.
