One thing I love about Ateez is - here we are - going into 6 years after debut, and you can tell they still PREPARE for each project with thoughtfulness & intention. They're not just singing these well known songs in a standard, typical, "good" way. They want it to be interesting content, adding effort bc they value the channel & staffs time. They're thinking of Atiny. And people new to them. (Whether for Coachella crowds, or k-variety show lovers.) They're still hungry & appreciative, so won't just settle on good enough. San explained he had to change the way he sang when his vocal cords started bleeding. He was singing too high ( and maybe had the wrong technique) and changed to a lower tone so he said he couldn't sing their old songs the way he used to. Keep the Ateez reactions coming. Thanks.

After having Covid double pneumonia, my range is a touch lower, but I developed essential tremors in my hands (similar to Yeosang)--the funny thing is it also hit my voice. At first, I thought I was done singing because I couldn't control the tremor at all. I sounded completely unstable. It took a lot of work, but I progressed through a stage where every note had vibrato to where I am now--I can hold notes steady but when I use vibrato the speed is faster than before. Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone. ❤

@@flaggov6949 you're welcome! i hope you're doing better now and are as healthy as you can be in the circumstances 🖤 it feels isolating and "crazy" when the majority of people act like its "the flv" and like the before and after are imagined differences. i've been singing my whole life, was in an award-winning camarata, and when i tried to sing along to a simple tune and couldn't, i cried and thought that part of my life was over forever. it took a literal year before i could sing along to a song for a full 3 minutes without feeling like i was risking permanent damage. lets pray/hope san and hongjoong (he had it once) remain as healthy as possible, too! and the other members as well 🖤

I cried when they sang Turbulence. My goosebumps got goosebumps when Guerrilla started. I bow when The real ended. Ateez is the reason why I'm into kpop now. And this is definitive the reason. I've been into korean culture for a long time, I think I watched every kdrama from 2013 to 2020, I watched and rewatched many variety shows and many korean movies, I've been reading korean comics (webtoons/manhwa) since the pandemy, I started reading also many korean webnovels. BUT, KPOP was the only aspect of korean culture that I tried to avoid, but because of a fcking "Hakuna Matata" I discovered ATEEZ and they captured me. THANXX ATEEEZ.

I’m not sure how much you keep up with the lore, but it’s interesting that you say the clarinet in Work sounds sad because I think it was meant to have this sad or more serious undertone. In the lore for this album, it skips ahead 3 years and they’ve all drifted apart and gone down separate paths because ATEEZ wasn’t successful in World A. So I think Work, when read with the lore, is actually about how they drifted apart and went down different career paths because at the end of the day you have to work to make a living. So sometimes that means giving up your dream and I think the intro Golden Hour points out how to cope with the loss of this dream by looking for joy in the moments in life that we often take for granted.

It actually did! There were a few references to their new career paths. I think Jongho was buried and kept in the ground to symbolize how he was essentially left behind by the others and continued a career in music where he trained idols. Yeosang became a rich investor (hence the calculator, the money, and the chicken laying the golden eggs). Mingi became a rich model and fashion influencer, which is why I think his outfits were the most flashy and extravagant and he was always surrounded by money. Wooyoung became a flight attendant and the plane flies over him in the mv. There may have been references to the others careers that I haven’t seen yet, but here are the rest of their careers. Hongjoong wrote a blog about their adventures in World Z that became a bestselling book (that Yeosang secretly invested in). Yunho is traveling the world looking for the next adventure so he can feel like a hero again. San opened up a food truck and travels everywhere enjoying the little (golden) moments in life. And, Seonghwa became a firefighter that saves people to help him cope with all the people he couldn’t save in World Z.

The best part was when you realized how much of their discography you like and how well their music has aged. I wonder whether the unconventional parts of their music are the parts that make you dislike so much of their music on the first go but also make their songs timeless like the clarinet you dislike in Work. No one will hear it in ten years and think "that's so mid 2020s." I think you should relisten to the album with that in mind. Seonghwa actually deserved praise for his high note in Utopia. Since it's release, he's only been able to hit it breathily. It sounded ethereal, so it worked for the song, but I've never heard him hit it with so much sound before. He's making great progress as are Wooyoung and Yeosang. They sing so much more confidently these days. I'm proud of them. Thanks for the reaction! ❤

Have you listened to the smoothing harmonies version of Treasure? That song makes me soar. Jongho’s coach is the daughter of Michael Jackson’s coach. It’s a technique he developed but can’t remember now. Yunho’s voice is a chameleon like voice. He’s sometimes hard to identify because he can mimic a lot of sounds and tones.

The way I have been wanting ATEEZ killing voice since I became a fan, I just knew!! it was gonna be killer. Songs are still bangers, everyone sounded really good. Jongo always seems relaxed this time even more so, he had definately got that balance of how much power he puts into his notes perfectly, and that vabratoo ooooo. I think this really showcases Yunho cuz I am telling you he is a bit underrated, Seonghwa babes sounded great in every song, that Utopia note was great I think I wanna hear some high notes from him and San in the future songs if they ever decide to give up a ballad or somethin. Give Wooyo a couple more lines he been sounding real nice lately too. Work doesn't have much vocally, I think its a fun song but its like in the middle doesn't bring out much motion or hype you up much in any sorta way so not a great ending song but always The Real to the rescue. I ma need a part two cuz there are more songs I was hear The Letter, with you, Inception????😩 New world that ending part with Jongo and San, Dune, would have been so good - Yunho and Jongho bridge arrgg. With ATEEZ, I feel like they're such great performers that even songs you may skip on the album would be enjoyable live. Their passion and energy are so infectious that it's still worthwhile. I find that there are many songs that I only enjoy as a live performance or even just with the music video that I will skip on Spotify sometimes or even end up removing later. Especially with a group like ATEEZ, while I don't like all their songs themselves, I've yet to see any performance of theirs I did not enjoy.

It is amazing how Ateez only has good songs and known to all, all are wonderful and self -astral, they are songs that give you chills listening to their voices live, which precedes in studio, jongho my dear, your vocal makes me levitate, wow. .. I like that you’re a huge fan but don’t blindly adore everything a group produces. You were fanboying so hard for this Killing Voice and just casually insert that you didn’t really like their most recent album. All my favorite bands tend to try new experimental sounds.
