The explanation was completely absurd. Yes, there was caste discrimination as it progressed. But there is a history beyond that. First of all there is no religion called Hindu. It's a culture known as Sanatana Dharma. Until the Arabs came to India, we never knew the word Hindu. They couldn't understand a culture without a religion. They called the culture Hindu, meaning, the people who lived near the river Sindhu. When the British invasion happened, they renamed the river Indus. The British made Hindu an official religion. We were a free community who accepted every kind of people and the Arabs (Mugals) invaded India and killed our ancestors who were not ready to accept Islam. They looted our temples. Then came the British. Before the British, there were, Portuguese and the Dutch invaded India, but they did very little harm to India when compared to the British. By that time the carter system changed completely. There were inequality and all sorts of violence against the lower caste. In Sanadhana Dharama, the farmers were respected even by the rulers as they were the highest tax payers. Anyone had the right to choose their path. But when it was made a religion, they instilled ego in us, thus so many inequalities. I can speak of my culture in its purest form forever, but hate to write. So I'm stopping here. I'll have to say this, Dhoomavati didn't commit suicide, when Shiva was killed by Kali. Once Kali killed her counterpart Shiva, she took the form of Dhoomavati and she cried out loud. But when she realised she can't be alive without Shiva, she became Kali again and recreated Shiva. To understand that story you'll need to read the Desha Mahavidya. I'm telling it a story because, my culture gives me the right to question anything and everything, the religion is too skeptical. I belong to my culture, not the religion. This culture goes back in time before any tectonic plate movements where, there were no separate land. If you have to understand this, read Mahabharat and 1 akshowhini will take a state in India, think of 1000s of ahshowhinis fighting.

Hinduism is lot more than what u guys heard from a foreign woman. Hinduism has science in it. Pls get info on the Vedas. Lord Vishnu and Brahma stories about multiverse theory, and lots more. Hindus knew the number of planets and movements including their distance. They know solar system and many Hindu books have mentioned so many things

Hinduism never ask anyone to convert or follow, it just gives us knowledge on life and beyond life, as Shri Krishna once said to Arjun in Mahabharat its was my duty to enlighten u with the knowledge now its up to u whether u follow or forget. Do u know there is a specific God worshipped in the Indian hospitals named Dhanvantari who was a doctor and practiced Ayurveda (Indians study ayurveda which is plant based medicines) to cure patients also he practiced organ transplant on dead bodies who died in the wars.. If u guys are reasearching on Hinduism pls try to read 1. Bhagwat Gita(overall knowledge on life, situations, including karma and beyond life), 2. Garud Puran(talks about after life and reincarnation, foetus development) 3. Four Vedas (Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samveda, Atharvaveda) U will be illuminated with wisdom. Hinduism does not talk only about what God wants u to do, it tells about everything around u which is invisible.

Caste system is essential part of Sanatan dharma or Hinduism.The British didn't introduced to India it was before 3000 years ago . Mahabharata said to written in 700 bc Mahabharata 13.143.6 “The illustrious one said, ‘The status of a Brahmana, O goddess, is exceedingly difficult to attain. O auspicious lady, one becomes a Brahmana through original creation or birth. After the same manner the Kshatriya, the Vaisya, and the Sudra, all become so through original creation.” Tr. K.M. Ganguli Kisari Mohan Ganguli writes, ”Nisargat is literally through creation or original nature, or birth. Of course, what is implied is that one becomes a Brahmana, or Kshatriya, or Vaisya or Sudra, through original creation as such, by the Self-born, that is, birth.”

its is not a caste system but system based upon one's propose . For example , the Brahmin are those who have given up their wordily pleasures in persuits of knowledge or god similarly chetriyas are the once who horn there skills for preservation and ruling of society . The normal misinterpretations here happens in cases as such when a father is Bhramin his son or decendent would also acquire the same profession and path hence he would also be Brahmin . When this process goes on for generations , they are called as Brahmin caste and that is how it is misinterpreted to till this generation. But the fact is if a sudra by profession goes on persuit of knowledge then he will be called brahmin. So you see in the ancient times it was not based on caste

The sati system that is where a woman commits suicide on her husband's pyre was mainly originated in the modern world i.e. after the 7th century because many Islamic forces would capture hindu kings wives and female servants and make them sex slaves after murdering their husbands and sons in the battlefield to avoid this queens, the helper ladies and other women would commit suicide in a large fireplace. In hindsium so many gods and godness to perform different duties. God Brahma, vishnu, siva are the part of " Shakthi( it mean energy or power ) ". We believe "Shakthi" is a female bcz only women can create life that's why. Shakthi creat Vishnu, Shiva, Bharama without her they are nothing. Without women men not complete. To proof that she creat "Sharaswathi" godiness of knowledge for Bharama, "Lakshmi godiness of wealth for Vishnu and final she take fame of " Sathi" mother of all life and wife of god Shiva. That's why we call Siva as God of Gods. Form of shakthi is a flame. She doesn't have beginning or end she is endless. We see women as a form of shakthi. Maatha ( Mother), Pithaa ( Father), Guru ( Teacher), Theaivam ( God). Mother is our 1st priority then God.

Low information original video ( _Hinduism: The Basics_ ). Instead a better, more comprehensive overview is given by Cogito's channel. BTW a kind of atheism ( _nastika_ ) is part of Hinduism. It is also a robust belief system.

@@Unstable_TV Big difference with Semitic religion No one founder No one book No books are written by god or gods No organizational framework All Muslims only vote for a Muslim candidate but Hindus vote for 1000 parties and even people of other religions Tolerated all the religions that came from India( except the friction when colonialist Christian and Islamic invasion with sword) but still accommodated giving first-class citizenship and benefits like education and job security for minority religions. Children are not brainwashed No force to go to the temple it is your choice of god and temple or when to go No beheading for leaving the religion Accept even atheism but do not agree with them and strongly disagree without violence Do not tolerate terrorism and forcing religion on other people Do not force or even try to convert people or lure them into Hinduism Nobody tell you what to do , still people do things based on blind faith ( that is a choice too) Willing to stop wife beating and people do not beat wives because the gods told them to Willing to upgrade blind faith to modernity and it is choice to no body force Every thing goes from extreme blind faith to no blind faith it is your choice Not that violent in the name of religion but they do get pissed off with Islamic fundamentalism and Christian fundamentalism easily and that can lead to local violence or riots it goes on and millions of positive and negative Do not go to other countries and force Hinduism on others or kill civilians ( usually mind your own business type people)
