And what, if anything, shocked you about what we revealed in this video?

Absolutely!! Mom knew how to bake, and had me looking forward every single year to another round of baklava. I gave it a shot 3 separate times in Greece, and not one of those came close to what she made.

You spent a week but unfortunately you understood almost nothing of the city

@konstantinosstamatopoulos425 We definitely agree that a week was not long enough to truly get to know a place. That's a factor that should be taken into consideration when getting our review of Athens. We would have loved a month there, but unfortunately for us, it just wasn't happening. So we can only form an opinion off of a limited time there. Out of curiosity, what do you think we didn't understand, or what we missed about Athens?

Clearly you stayed in one of the worse places in the city with too much graffiti etc, this is not representative of the city and upscale neighborhoods such as kolonaki, Psychiko, Kifisia or near the sea Faliro, glyfada, vouliagmeni etc

@@konstantinosstamatopoulos425 I can definitely state that it was not an upscale section of the city. Approximately Derigni and Acharnon streets. We spent the whole week walking all around the surrounding few kilometers of that area, including our walk to the Acropolis, Olympic Temple of Zeus, etc. So yah, what we saw, we saw on repeat for that whole wide area. Sadly, even at the Temple and Acropolis as well. But yes, we did not stay or go into any fancy upscale areas of the city for that week.

Yes, the area you describe has almost no Greeks, but immigrants, it is like staying in Harlem in New York. Thus what you state about graffiti, dirt etc is not representative of the city, that’s what I try to say

@konstantinosstamatopoulos425 lol....I love the reference. Yah, you're not exactly wrong there. It was noticeable, to say the least. I'm sure that Athens has its lovely areas and neighborhoods. We could only base our info off of what we experienced first hand. But yes, I absolutely get your point of view and where you're coming from. Maybe we'll be fortunate enough to get another chance at Athens. God knows we sure didn't get to seeing everything that we wanted to by a long shot.
