Athens Services of Redondo Beach Pt. 8

Due to the franchise coming into effect for the City of Los Angeles, the Athens Services facility of Torrance has gone thru some changes. We got this truck as a spare for residential side loaders. The other spare was the older LNG Peterbilt with an original Hardox body and Curotto can. However, that truck has been moved to a commercial route due to the franchise. Well that's pretty much it. Enjoy this older, diesel Peterbilt 320 on a Hardox side loader doing green waste in Redondo Beach. Sweet catch, that's pretty cool to see one of these out there now. Any idea what yard it came from before? Bit disappointed they took the Curotto off the LNG Pete. That was a fun truck to watch. Nice find!

Nice catch! Do you know why the driver doesn't like to lid flip? It's cool that he flipped a few, but it always seems like they like to keep them closed. I prefer them open as one, lid flipping adds a touch to garbage truck filming, and two, it helps the resident know that their container has been collected.

You're welcome! Yes, I can see how that makes sense. Just wish the driver would lid flip, it makes garbage truck filming more entertaining. Is it allowed in this route?
