People are missing the point of why AF runs the 100. Its to sharpen up for the 200m. How many times has she said this... after the worlds in 2011 she felt the 400 didn't give her the speed she needed to run the 200m... so she concentrated on that... I don't think even AF thought she would medal in London. Saying that... Overall throughout events, AF is a more dynamic and versatile athlete.
@MrFlexybee12 жыл бұрын
Far from what you thinking.I love VCB because she is a darling and a sprint queen as well.But most people fails to give Allyson Felix the due respect and credit that she deserves, she is now having the womens record at the WC with 10 medals including 8 golds as well,and with regards to her age she can see another 2 olympics to improve her medal tally as well. Even with her all round nature (100m,200m,400m,4*100m and 4*400m) people still hate and criticize her ,which is very strange to me.

I would give the advantage to Felix because that 400m strength sustains her down the stretch in the 200m. Her start has GREATLY improved in 2012 through running 50m, 60m and 100m all year. The field doesn't get away from her anymore (like VCB in this race and the following Olympics.) Oh, and by the way, Felix beat VCB and Fraser-Price in the same 100m race in 2012 "Allyson Felix beats Fraser and Brown in 100m" But I do get your point and I agree: Felix can't beat VCB consistently in the 100m.

listen I am not hating on allyson. OK? First of all for a Jamaican allyson is one of my favourite athletes. I also did track so therefore you dont have to tell me about hard training. Seems like you are implicating that Veronica did steroids if you are you need to know that she has been running from a very early age both for schools and her country and has done drug tests. If anyone is hating it is you hating on VCB. Im just saying.
@delroy316 жыл бұрын
Yeah its gonna be a tough 200m race in the olympics this year. Allyson will be looking to dethrone Veronica but Veronica will not give it up too easily. Veronica is doing some base speed endurance work right now as she needs that to beat Allyson's strong 200m.
@MrFlexybee13 жыл бұрын
@mallyfan Whether she can run it good or not she has done it in many meet and has a PB bellow 11 sec.the question you should be asking your self is whether VCB can run a 400m on a world stage let alone talking about 4*400m relay. Personally i dont care what you people think or say about Felix but what i know is that she will have the last laugh in this rivalry before both of the retire from the sports,and considering her age and medal count wise.

Do you even know how many medals VCB holds from her junior days up until now? Please. It is all a matter of opinion. To be given the TITLE of being the greatest athlete will always be disputed by others. Allyson is the best all rounder that I have ever seen. That title I will give to her.
