THIS IS AMAZING! The best part is is how the commentators thought the Americans would win no problem. They even focus so much on the team, what about the other contenders?! There was no pick up on the awful change over during the race - watch the British commentary version and they pick up on it straight away.

2:49 to 3:01= EPIC!!! Mo was running so fast that you can't even see his swaggers, and Mark Lewis Francis was running the leg of his life because he knew that mo could've catched him if he didn't hold him on. Just epic!! Mo Greene= G.O.A.T

What are you wishing to show by having us do that? It's clear that Mo Greene's foot is in front, but it's the chest that counts and Mark Lewis-Francis' chest is further forward.

I agree. Britain won fairly and did what they were supposed to do: get the baton around the track fastest with the cleanest passes possible. I think the Americans are pointing out WHY we lost. To all my American compatriots, the race is 4x100, not 4x102

For you information, it is done by the torso. Mark Lewis Francis' torso was clearly in front of Greene's. It doesn't matter if Mauric stuck his foot out, his torso was second to cross the line and so he and the USA were second.

@Chocosizzles No you are wrong. Since the foot can be extended further forwards than the torso, the person with their torso over the line must therefore have taken more steps and got their whole body closer to the finish line. It is more difficult to get the torso over the line than any other body part. Otherwise, everyone would cross the line with their arms stretched forwards.

Proud to be Biritsh! I don't think we'll have the same success in 2012 in the running events but it's brilliant to see new athletes like Tom Daley coming through in events like Diving. America and China will dominate as per. But I can't wait for the Olympics to be in my city and down the road. It's going to be amazing

On the bright side (from the US perspective) we made the final. A couple of times screwed up baton exchanges in the semis (passing outside the zone, etc.) have gotten us eliminated. This was the case in the 2010 World Championships. I believe the same thing happened in the Beijing Olympics. In the Seoul Olympics we got DQed in the semis because one of our guys ran a few steps in the adjacent lane. What's the problem, poor coaching?

darkxiao - you're right. Some countries do test a lot more than others. In the UK you have to provide a location for where you'll be for 1 hour each day. If you're not there, nobody calls you and says "we'd like to do a test, you've got 1 hour to get here". That's in part what went wrong for Christine Ohourougu..... she turned up at the training track to find a school sports day happening so went to a nearby track. Then the testers turn up. That's a missed test then. Nobody calls you. TOUGH

Chubble, thanks for clearing that up for me. I dont understand why it is done that way. If we are racing from point A to point B and a part of my body (no matter head, toe, chest or ass) touches the tape before the other racers? I won. SIlly rule, a race is a race. no no no, you've misunderstood my point. Of course running the ultimate speed is difficult, but when it comes to the final crucial race, it is more difficult to pass the batton efficiently then it is to the run the speed you've already trained for all season- the speed that your fitness and training has determined prior to the championships. When it comes down to that one final race, the individual speed of the 4 athletes becomes obsolete
