Athey born n raised and I really enjoyed this vid, was hoping see Grandad, Grandma, Dad & Sister grave stone but alas wasn't to be. Back in the 80's when I used to go to the youth club further down road there, when I went past the little chapel place just off Leigh Rd gate, I'm sure there used to someone in there back then, I remember there was always a light coming from the window and looked proper cosey, like from an old film with the deep amber colour light... Spooky'ish too. If I am ever lucky enough win lottery, I would have two little chapels done right back up but kept as close to original spec as possible. We're losing too much of Atherton, Formby Hall went which belonged to Atherton people, now Atherton Library is up for auction which again belongs to the Atherton people, but Johnny Barker is doing his best to go for that place and have it done up and given back to the people of the town.

Thanks for the shout out brother I appreciate it and what you do man. I just watched your video m8 and I hope your friend enjoyed the card. As for the cemetery films I think this one is a personal favourite as it has some harrowing stories including a lady who perished with her Children in a house fire and the story of a father and son who died in WW1 and WW2. The film culminated in the infiltration the graveyards beautiful and decaying chapel. All the best brother. Clarky.

i love the two chapels and my first thoughts was they are missing a floor. i would say one lower level possibly two but quite often in these little chapels any lower level are usually backfilled in, it is always worth while looking to see if there are any man hole covers or inspection covers close to the building. At 31.20 it looks like a man hole cove to the right of the doorway🤔At 33.45 when yo turn the corner you can see a square area on the floor this is quite often where the stairs were to get to the lower level, i have noticed on some of your church videos the way to get below is round the back down steps....great video.😊
