Pastor Brett…I had been a missionary for 12 years and a pastor of a small rural church in Iowa. somehow I came across your church… I really have no idea how….my wife and I got radically saved decades ago after being drug addicts and dealers… my wife has gone back to “ the life” .. and , honestly, I’m am struggling with using alcohol as a coping mechanism…she has abandoned our family but I still minister to my small flock. I am the sole caretaker of my children…my church is made up of 20 or so people that are over 70… they had been discarded by my old church that wanted to make a seeker friendly concept…I am 61years .. now I am faced with raising teenagers.. when I listen to your expositions I am often led to my knees in prayer and thanksgiving for the wonderful insight that the Spirit has given you…you have been a uniquely bright light in a very tough night to me.. I share alot of your insights with my church family… I don’t know… I just wanted to encourage you as finding Athey Creek church has encouraged me so much and I have learned so much from you. thank you my brother!

Todd, I just want to encourage you to stay on your knees. Don't give in to the temporary relief of escape by alcohol. Your children need to see Jesus in you...we are so close to the finish line. Hang on!!

Thank you Pastor Brett. I am an old granmam and i worry so much for my little family. England is so evil, everything is a mess. They took God out of everything and we know about it now. I get so scared and pray every day for our Lord Jesus to call us all home in the Rapture. I have no church, the ones round here accept wrong things as it's ok. Like the pastor you showed on the video. I am so thankful i found your church on line. Since my hubby died 18 months ago, i get so lonely and scared. Your videos help me a great deal, so thank you. God bless you all and everyone listening . Night and God Bless.

Thank you so much Pastor Brett. This Grandma would also like to add to the list of essential prayers. Pray for the children. All that is wrong in the world today is directed toward taking them from Truth, Salvation, Jesus The Christ. Pray for the children. Pray for Brett and those pastors and teachers teaching righteousness. Pray for grandparents who are doing their best to stand in the gap.

Brett talks about egalitarian churches… I was mentored in an egalitarian denomination, and it was only recently that I began exploring the differences between egalitarianism and complementarianism. I’ve found that there is a link between egalitarianism and feminism - Feminism, interestingly, has ties to homosexuality in that it emasculates men, and strips women of their God-given femininity. To that end, it’s my observation that most (if not all) denominations who adopt an egalitarian polity eventually slide to the LEFT, both politically and socially, and in that, they wind up twisting scripture. Also, I think it’s worth noting that nearly all egalitarian denominations eventually accept same-sex unions as valid. Take from that what you will and do your own research, but as for me, as a Christian who has battled same-sex attraction, in preserving my God-given sexual identity, I now *reject* egalitarianism. I am so thankful for the pastoralship at Athey who foster a church culture that nurtures godly masculinity, which in-turn honors women, thus blessing their godly femininity. I’m growing at this church for many reasons - not the least of which being its strong, unyielding stance on biblical gender roles.

I am a woman and believe that women should not be pastors....we have our own role....the Bible is our guide.

Yes, the Bible makes that crystal clear. It's always confounded me how many twist scripture to fit their Will vs Gods will.

I've seen a few comments now and then where someone will compare Trump to Jesus and they get BOMBarded with replies from Christians letting the commenter know how wrong it is to post blasphemous remarks. And the bad commenter usually gets zero likes.

You don't know that. We can't make judgments on a person's heart or their relationship with Jesus Christ based on who someone votes for. In the day of Judgement, The Father will not ask who you voted for, He will ask does the Son know you.
@lmbarnhart4898 Жыл бұрын
@@margaretwalker3629 we do know that because if you vote for them you vote to murder. If you're ok to murder than you are NOT a Christian.
@margaretwalker3629 Жыл бұрын
@LM Barnhart righteousness or morality cannot be legislated. We see that constantly throughout the Old testament. Hearts must be changed. But I will not argue this. My only desire is to see Christians come together in spite of political affliations. If our divisions and separations within the Body of Christ are based on who someone voted for then we have a very serious problem that desperately needs to be addressed.
@lmbarnhart4898 Жыл бұрын
@@margaretwalker3629 but you can vote for murder. Your point is invalid.

The fact that Eve was deceived is also given in 1 Timothy 2:14 as a reason for women not serving as pastors or having spiritual authority over men. This does not mean that women are gullible or that they are all more easily deceived than men. If all women are more easily deceived, why would they be allowed to teach children (who are easily deceived) and other women (who are supposedly more easily deceived)? The text simply says that women are not to teach men or have spiritual authority over men because Eve was deceived. God has chosen to give men the primary teaching authority in the church. Pastor Brett got so close but never finalized the thought about women Pastors in the church. It’s CLEAR… NO.

Ro. 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Why do we condone depravity in the guise of equality and civilized wokeness!?????? SIN is SIN!!!
