I really enjoyed the part Pastor Brett shared about the PFC (prefrontal cortex). I’m a psychologist assistant and a licensed marriage and family therapist who has been studying the brain for years now. The PFC is responsible for for moral judgment and executive functioning skills. I enjoyed learning about how the Word covers this concept by referring to “ the foreheads” of ppl. This is fascinating! I love the Word of God because science proves what the Lord has been saying all along!😁

I enjoyed that bit about the forehead too. Thankful for your digging, Pastor Brett!

Thank you for the solid teaching of God’s word! I am watching from TN. I listen to one of these a day and i am feeling blessed to be learning God’s word. I think 2020 has awakened me to realize just how much I need God’s word in my life, I realized I was loosing my hope because I wasn’t in His word, and know I need to be prepared either for Jesus coming or me going to go home with him someday. Either way, I love that this church is teaching God’s truth. Keep doing what you are doing, we need more pastors who are willing to teach God’s truth!

Fun Fact: in my 20's or 30's, my dad used the word "sot" with me. I asked him the meaning and he said it meant "a drunk" a "sot". Perhaps "sottish" means drunkard'ish😂

This video is incorrect concerning HOW to be saved. Please understand, we can Not get saved by requiring, or believing on, any works, such as TURNING from SINS for salvation. That amounts to commandment keeping for salvation, which is a way to Not be saved. Once a person is born-again, God, through sanctification, produces repentance (change your mind) and good works. He writes his commandments on a person's heart when they are born-again. God causes such person to see sin and overcome it. But, that is a RESULT of being born again, and not HOW we become born-again. Even the Apostle Paul was being changed over time as a result of being born-again. He did not turn from sins, so he could receive salvation. He was struggling to turn from sins After salvation. Romans 7:15 For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. Acts 16:30-31 - “The Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, ‘BELIEVE’ on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” (FAITH Only on Jesus’ (God the Son who came as God in flesh) death, burial, and resurrection is required.) Notice, Paul, inspired by God, does not say turn from sins for salvation. BELIEVE is the only requirement. ---- Believing on works, such as turning from sins, for salvation means that person is Not saved: Galatians 5:4, “Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law (works); you are fallen (separated) from grace.” Paul is speaking to Judaizers that believed one work, circumcision, was required to be added to faith for salvation. This meant they were NOT saved; faith on one single work meant they were not under grace. The book of Galatians is recommended. Notice FAITH Alone on the Gospel below Alone is the only way to be saved. That is the New Testament. John 3:36 - “Whoever ‘BELIEVES’ in the Son has eternal life. Whoever rejects the Son will not see life. Instead, the wrath of God remains on him.” (Notice, ‘Believe’ is the only requirement) Ephesians 2:8-9 - “For by grace (free gift) are you saved through ‘FAITH’; and that not of yourselves: it is the Gift of God; Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Paul again indicates FAITH ALONE on the Gospel below, with NO WORKS, is required for salvation; and Not of Ourselves----it is a GIFT) 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 - "The Gospel (good news) by which you are SAVED: Christ (God the Son-who came as God in flesh) died for our sins according to the Scriptures, He was buried, and He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…" Summary: Please receive in your heart the Free Gifts of Permanent Forgiveness of all sins and Eternal Life from God, by Faith Alone, trusting that Jesus’ (God the Son-who came as God in flesh) Death at the Cross, Burial, and Resurrection made complete payment for all of your sins (past/present/future). (1) Believe You’re a Sinner Needing Forgiveness from God. Receive Free Gift of Forgiveness by Faith: Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” John 3:16 - “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever Believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Jesus (God in flesh) should not die since he had not sinned; Romans 6:23, ‘the wages of sin is death.’ Trust only on the payment Jesus made for all sins; John 19:30, ‘it is finished.’ (For salvation, do Not trust on any works, such as turning from sins, or any other works.) Isaiah 64:6 - “All our righteous acts are as filthy rags.” Salvation Cannot be obtained by any faith on water baptism or any work(s). 1 Corinthians 1:17 - “For Christ sent me NOT to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, unless the cross of Christ should be made of NO effect.” Faith, Not water baptism, must be the way of receiving salvation. Water baptism was for Jewish people under Old Testament law, which required a work showing faith. Romans 3:28 - “Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by Faith apart from the deeds of the law.” (2) Believe Jesus is God the Son and Came as God in Flesh: Isaiah 9:6, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, the mighty God….” Titus 2:13-14, "Looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus.” Colossians 1:15, “The Son is the image of the invisible God.” 1 John 5:7, "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit: and these three are One." Revelation 22:13, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.” (3) You are Born-Again, by an Act of God, when you believe the verses above. John 3:3, “Jesus answered and said to him, truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is BORN-AGAIN he cannot see the kingdom of God.” ‘Born Again’ means God forgives you, creates a new creature, comes to live in you, and saves you - permanently. Titus 3:5, “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit.” Salvation is complete when you’re born-again. You become a child of God when you are born-again, and God will help you to live for Him (Sanctification). We should then live and work for God, but we can’t lose salvation through any means once we are born-again. (4) Once Born-Again/Saved, You Can’t Lose Salvation (we can’t believe on works): Ephesians 4:30, “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were 'sealed' for the day of redemption.” John 6:37, “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” John 10:28-29, “I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” Today we cannot be saved by the Old Testament Law that was for the Jews only. We can only be saved by the NEW Testament, which I listed above. The Old Testament required faith plus attempting to keep the ten commandments, repentance of sins, and works to demonstrate faith, such as water baptism or sacrificing a lamb.

@@2030dak Yes, repent (change your mind) and receive salvation by grace through faith Alone on the Gospel. Also, Jesus is teaching old testament law (fatih plus works) while he walked the earth; i.e., the Luke.

Can someone explain in detail Ephesians 4:30 ? "Grieving the Holy Spirit " Thank you.
@Preach_the_Gospel_7788 Жыл бұрын
@@knowthetrooth Hello Jenny: Meaning of ‘Greive the Holy-Spirit’: A person is born-again (saved) the second that they trust Only on Jesus’ (God the Son who came as God in flesh) DEATH (includes the shedding of Lord Jesus’ blood), BURIAL, and RESURRECTION for salvation, with NO faith for salvation on any type of human effort, works, or claimed positive human qualities. God the Holy Spirit comes to Permanently live in the born-again Christian and seals that person, so they REMAIN Spiritually Sinless (Saved), and CANNOT lose salvation. Ephesians 4:30 (KJV), “And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are SEALED unto the day of redemption.” That saved person CANNOT Sin in their Spirit and lose salvation, but their mind and body Can sin. God the Holy Spirit is working to bring the mind and body of the born-again believer into agreement with God and the believer's born-again spirit (Sanctification). When a born-again believer goes against the Word of God, the bible, and God the Holy Spirit, they are grieving the Holy-Spirit. They can then come under God's chastisement and can even go so far as to have their life cut short; a sin unto death; but they do NOT lose salvation. Sinning as a born-again believer can quench God the Holy-Spirit, so the blessing, leading, and motivation from God is diminished. The born-again believer will then not be under God’s blessing, so living in victory over sin and working for God is much more difficult. A born-again believer can lose eternal rewards and inheritance based on the lack of good works AFTER being born-again by FAITH, plus nothing; but a born-again believer CANNOT lose salvation. Eternal Security for the born-again believer is true. A born-again believer CANNOT lose salvation. Believing that a born-again person can lose salvation means we approach God for salvation with faith on HUMAN EFFORT, and that means NO salvation. John 6:37 (KJV), “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I WILL NO WISE CAST OUT.” 1 Peter 1:4-5 (KJV), “To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are KEPT BY THE POWER OF GOD through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” John 10:28-29 (KJV), “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than ALL; and NO MAN is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.” 2 Corinthian 1:22 (KJV), “Who hath also SEALED us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.” A born-again believer changes their mind about sins (repents) and confesses sins to God, NOT for Salvation, but to obtain Deliverance from the bondage of sins, Restore Fellowship with God, and shut the door to Satan in their life. This will enable grieving and/or quenching of God the Holy Spirit in the believer to be resolved. Salvation CANNOT be received with faith for receiving and/or keeping salvation on ANY human effort, works, or claimed human qualities, including but not limited to: Repenting of Sins, Praying/Asking, Inviting, Water Baptism, Good works/deeds, Commandment keeping, Calling, Confessing, Turning from sins, Inviting Lord Jesus into your heart, Having a good heart, Dedicating/Surrendering/Giving your life to God, Following Jesus, Confirmation, Charity, Church attendance, or any other human effort, works, or qualities, etc., etc. Galatians 5:4 (KJV), “Christ is become of NO EFFECT unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law (works); ye are fallen (separated) from grace (not saved). Galatians 3:10 (KJV), “For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.” (We CAN’T keep all of the law (not sin) and are therefore condemned by the law.) Feel free to reply if you have questions. Regards, John
