Edit: 04/06/2022 Just wanted to make an update, it's been a little over 2 years and I'm currently around 175-180lbs. I'm still on the grind 💪 thanks for all of the moral support, I appreciate all of you 🙏 My max weight before making the comment was 373lbs. I'm really excited to hit 170 and have lost over 200lbs 😁 The last year has definitely been the most significant in terms of weight loss, according to the fitindex scale, last year on April 4th I was 282lbs. My lowest recorded weight in the last 2 weeks is 174.8. It's possible guys, it really is ♥️

@findingnory5 жыл бұрын
True, but you missed the emphasis he put on the different genders. He talked about the difference in hormonal levels between men and women and encouraged women to do any kind of strength training as their bodies respond quickly. He also said ANY resistance training (including treadmills) will be beneficial for subcutaneous fat burning. However, for men, he emphasized that just any resistance training is not good enough. So, if the goal is to burn fat, men should stop running on the treadmill except for cardiovascular health. Also, while everyone benefits from healthy food, men HAVE to eat better to see any type of results because their fat is visceral. You cannot get rid of this fat just by sweating a little.

Great to see the high protein, high vegetable diets still being promoted. It works, especially for hard training people.
@stevefowler21126 жыл бұрын
For sure...I'm 62 and just a few years ago had a magazine body and then kinda relaxed and got on a slow but steady downslide until I looked in the mirror and went Enough...now I have had to resort to an extreme clean diet: egg(s) and berries/veggies for bfast, then protein and a huge portion of cauliflower/broccoli/spinach for either lunch/dinner and a low cal MRP for my other meal....throw in some almonds and/or walnuts and lots of water and that is my diet plan. I also am back at the gym 5 to 6 times a week, lifting hard. I haven't yet started doing HIT interval training but I am almost at the fitness level I can start doing some of that too. Just after a couple weeks already seeing nice results, tummy is down and seeing a bit of definition, but I have lower stomach fat and lower back fat and love handles to deal with...so I figure a target date of March 1st will have some good results.

Fit and 50 not to sound condescending, but was this type of diet ever NOT being promoted as a “stay lean” diet? It’s not exactly groundbreaking stuff
@Fitand50Formula6 жыл бұрын
Shelby Kincaid it isn’t so much that the information is new. Protein has been blamed for kidney problems, which is simply not true in less you have a preexisting kidney issue. Osteoporosis which also if you look at long term studies isn’t the case. And a large number of people who develop heart disease had high protein diets. Which when you look at them closer you will find is is more about poor diet choices and a lack of a balanced diet that the protein itself. Because of these types of accusations many people are starting to advocate lower protein diets. I got into shape in my 40’s and stay in shape with a higher protein diet. So I believe in it, but the trend is towards lower protein diets.

Strength training. Large muscle groups. So, ya want more muscle...do more Strength training... Use your legs, like focus on amount of weight used not necessarily so much on more reps. You want the muscles to work harder as opposed to working faster or longer. Not looking for that cardio heart rate. That said...don't HURT yourself by OVER doing it! It's when you fry them in pure oil you run into problems, fats being more readily stored and twice as caliorie dense on a gram per gram basis. So french fries should be thought of as a junk food first but as a fatty food second because ~50 % of the calories are from fat compared to 0.1% in regular potatoes.

I know this is an old video, but I would love to see a video on the differences between women training heavily post-menopausal as compared to their younger years. As men age they lose testosterone, and as women age they lose estrogen. In my case I am both post-menopausal and as a breast cancer survivor taking an aromatase inhibitor, and having had a double mastectomy without reconstruction, I am unsure where my body fat percentage should be. I am assuming I should be on the higher end of the male spectrum. LOVE to hear more content for the 50+ crowd, especially women in that range.

Thank you so much, this is an awesome summary of how we should be doing things. As a female I have found a lot of benefit and progress while avoiding soy (it stimulates estrogen). It's impressive the amount of soy used in regular food, so check labels for that! I love japanese and chinese food and they use it a lot, so that's my only allowance, but having it daily for example in a mayonnaise, any bread or chocolate chip cookie is too much.

The women's channel is bullshit. It's some mainstream "women workout" You can use the advice he puts in his videos on the main channel. Studies have shown that women respond like men to training. They recover faster tho. So they can put up with a bit more volume. And women are better at training legs for some reason, men at training the upper body. And men respond better to explosive training, women to slower controlled movements. But all you need to know is basically on this channel. Want to grow your legs? Just look up a video. Same goes for the rest. Another thing you can do is look up women on instagram with a physique you would like to have and then look how they train and eat.

Austin Miranda there are no robots from the matrix. Only programs.

Christian Rosales yes the robots were and created the programs. But looks like that guy never watched the Matrix 🙄

Michael Aredo soooo there are no robots in the matrix. The matrix is a program created by robots. Not when he said matrix, was he referring to the program itself or the movie. Two very different things. #lookintoit

Short-term weekly fasting is very good for slimming down, especially dry fasting for those brave enough.
