i've been doing these 100-workouts 5 days/week for 3 months now and started making significant progress. But I have to say- the sneaky unappreciated benefit of this form of training is that it keeps me off my phone in the gym. 15 seconds rest time is only enough to catch my breath between effective reps... no instagram, no emails. it's made me more aware of how many people are scrolling their phones and probably resting longer than anticipated in between sets. Thanks Jeff!

Hello there, Can I ask you how you made the split? and how was the recovery? how you combined common exercises for different muscle groups?
@WhereisBrad
@WhereisBrad 3 ай бұрын
I’ve been doing these for 2 weeks now and this comment is making me realize that it’s helped me stay off my phone too! I love these quick workouts and still feeling so pumped and fatigued after! But I’m wondering the same thing about your split? I want my chest to grow the most so I’m doing chest, back, shoulders, chest, legs, abs, rest, repeat
@jodepploro3783
@jodepploro3783 28 күн бұрын
@@WhereisBradplease don't over-do your chest. If you over-train your chest the muscles there will pull your shoulder infront making you have rounded shoulders. When you hit upper back, your chest will gradually grow as well. I haven't hit chest in 6 months and I still saw significant growth there. Keep it up, bro!
@dereko.1719
@dereko.1719 20 күн бұрын
Also curious about your 100 series split. I have a 3-day split 100 series plan: legs, chest/back* (140 ER), then bi/tri/delt* (140 ER) as my Mon/Wed/Fri cycle. Going to try and hit the abs 100 on Sundays! Wondering if my sequencing should change at all, particularly hitting chest before arms vs after.

The "rest-pause till you reach a certain # of reps, change to easier form or partial reps if needed" approach is not something Jeff developed. This has been used by bodybuilders for decades; Tom Platz comes to mind. That said, it is effective; Jeff's firmly rooted in old-school bodybuilding techiques.
@AvatarNate
@AvatarNate Жыл бұрын
@@guitargeeknwa yeah that may be true but Jeff made it mainstream widespread known. Hes the reason i know about it so im grateful. Those other guys probably didn't have a platform which such expansive reach as Jeff does. 2020...I was STRONG, not terribly lean and then fell off the wagon so to speak. And then during the peak COVID, here in Italy, all the gyms closed for over a year. I managed to pack on a few lbs. Last year I adjusted my diet a bit but finally in mid December, looked up Jeff''s KZbin channel again and got serious. I am a HUGE fan of his "100" series and since 19 Dec have lost 18 lbs (6'1"/188 now and w/b 59 on 2 May this year) and leaned up considerably. I am happy, strong, in great shape and continue the journey. Losing the last bit of fat around my waistline (my trouble area) and continuing to strengthen my core are my current objectives. As usual, this workout pops up in my email at the perfect time. THANK YOU Jeff!

I would never disagree with anything this man says because thanks largely to him, I'm in the best shape of my life at age 51. But I do want to add one little thing for the sake of anyone watching who has desperately tried to get their abs to show but has never really succeeded. When I was 48, I bought an inversion table to add to my modest little workout room in my basement and that same summer I began riding my bicycle around the pedestrian paths where I live. I bought the inversion table because I always thought it would be an awesome way to workout the abs and sure enough, between the cardio of the bike riding and the inversion table, my abs showed for the first time since I was about 14. The best part was that it happened so fast, within 6 weeks! I actually lost too much weight and had to adjust my training and diet but the bottom line is that it worked for me and it might be the answer for others too!
