Athletic Lite | Athletic Brewing Company | Non-Alcoholic Beer Review | #14

In this review, I'm going to take a look at another non-alcoholic beer on the channel, and it comes from the Athletic Brewing Company (‪@AthleticBrewing‬), and it's their Athletic Lite, which is a non-alcoholic American Light Lager. This one was recommended to me by a viewer of the channel, Derrick, (‪@user-wy1eb9ft2o‬), so I thought I'd grab a can of this and give it a go. Let's see how it is!
Commercial Description:
Athletic Lite is a light brew, completely reimagined. It's classically simple but expertly crafted with 25 calories, and 5 carbs. We brewed it specifically for the sport of life and all the good times that come with it.

Glad to hear it pleased you! Ever since I fully switched to NAs, this is my go to if I just want something refreshing and crisp, don’t get me wrong, I love my IPAs and Golden Ales (Even in NA fashion) but I do like a break from the bitterness and citrus and this does the trick. If you would like another suggestion Athletic has a really good cerveza called Athletica Cerveza. If it’s available near you, you should pick up a can and review it, that’s another athletic brew I enjoy. Cheers!

Yeah, for what it is, I found it quite solid. It would definitely work if I wanted a light tasting beer that is non-alcoholic, that's for sure. I'll throw that Cerveza on the list. Admittedly, Mexican/Mexican-style Lagers aren't my jam, but I'm curious to see how they do with the style. Thanks for the suggestions, man! Much appreciated. Cheers!

Athletic is probably my favorite brand of NA Beer. However, the NA Blue Moon is my overall favorite

Have you tried Wit's Peak from Athletic Brewing? It's a belgian-style white and I feel that it is one the best NAs I've tried.

I have not, but it's actually on the list. I do enjoy some Belgian Wits from time to time, so I'm looking forward to giving it a go once I can find a single to grab. Appreciate the recommendation!

I’m kinda on the fence about this one , I tried it , hoping that it would satisfy my taste for a regular light beer along the lines of a Bud Light or a Miller Light but I think the addition of the wheat kinda throws off the flavor a little bit , Bud Light doesn’t use wheat and I don’t think Miller Light does either , Athletic Light isn’t bad , it just doesn’t taste the same as the light beers I used to drink .

Yeah, that was pretty much what I said in the review about the wheat character. It kind of drank more like an alcoholic version of an American Pale Wheat Ale more so than an American Light Lager. That said, I think it did a solid job of representing a light beer, in general. Definitely isn't for everybody, though. Have you tried Heineken 0.0? That was pretty similar to regular Heineken to some degree, IMO. Thanks for the comment! Cheers, Alan!

@@averagejoe716 No, I haven’t tried Heineken 0.0 , I actually prefer a little alcohol , even though it’s a negligible amount , I know that probably doesn’t matter but I tried Budweiser zero and didn’t care for it !

@@averagejoe716 I’ve got a few go too’s that I really like , Athletic’s Upside Dawn golden is really good as well as Corona N.A. and Pabst Blue Ribbon N.A. is a good choice for a plain old American lager , kinda like a Bud Light !

They're nice to have when you still want the essence of a beer without the alcohol and/or calories. Athletic is one of the better ones, IMO, as is Untitled Art. Definitely worth looking into it. I love beer too, haha! Cheers, Kevin!

New Genesee beer announced. "Mango Peach Kolsch." Dont know if its replacing one of their spring or summer seasonals or what. Maybe its replacing the Tropical Pineapple Kolsch. Who knows. I cant get these beers anyway.

Yeah, I would imagine it'll replaced the Tropical Pineapple Kolsch. It makes sense. I'm actually quite interested in that based on the flavor and the other Kolschs they've released. Don't think they'd replace the Ruby Red version at all. Still haven't tried the Citrus Pils from them since I can't find a single and I don't want to buy an entire 12 pack. Sucks you can't get their specialty releases, as they're usually quite solid, especially for the price. Cheers, Chaz!

I developed gastritis, so I couldn't drink. I started drinking these over the summer, better than water. Expensive for a fake beer.

That sucks, Dan! Hope all is well now. Admittedly, the price points are high for something that's non-alcoholic, but when you want that beer fix, they definitely work in a pinch, IMO. Definitely better than water, haha! Cheers, buddy!
