I'm an assistant athletic trainer at my high school and I see blood ALL THE TIME. I do mainly football though so I can't say anything about other sports, but football is a blood bath most of the time.

Just saw your channel for the first time today. I enjoyed the video. I'm currently a senior in high school and do sports. I do XC, swimming, and track. I want to major in sports medicine/athletic training in college. I want to become an Athletic trainer, because I like being around athletes/coaches, like being around sporting events, I want to learn more on what type of medicine goes into our bodies, want to learn how to prevent and help injuries, and I want to help people/athletes preventing injuries and help them reach their full strength. I just want to help people and keep them healthy. Thinking about either going to a university, or go to a community college for 2 years, then transfer. Thank you for your video. I learned more about their career

Love this video! Your enthusiasm reminded me why I chose this major. I’m in second semester of freshman year and time management started becoming an issue with working multiple jobs and school. I started having doubts but I’m positive this is what I wanna do!

love your AT vids! I’m starting at Bama in the fall as an athletic training major (at the end of freshman year I get interviewed for the program, my freshman year is the last class they’re taking for the bachelors). I decided on athletic training a while ago and I get worried that I’m not going to like it or it will be too hard, but seeing your vids gets me motivated again and remember why I chose it!

I'm a senior athletic training student and student athlete and working part time as a CNA. It has been very difficult with getting to my own practices then going to a different sport's practice or from work. Granted, I'm a track and field athlete. I have built trust with my coach so that I can practice on my own (high jump athlete, so some practices). I go to a D2 university.

I just finished watching your video! I am about to enter my first year of college here in California and majoring in kinesiology. I either want to become an athletic trainer or physio for a professional soccer team. I'd hopefully like to study and work overseas for a team in the future. Is there anything you would say that could give me an idea of how the pathway looks?

What major would you recommend for a person that wants to go into Sport Therapy (A physical therapist for sports teams), or a Team Physician? I want to make it into the big leagues, but I'm not sure how to go about it. Have you ever been reached out to by a pro team for an internship for an athletic training job?
@jorgezheng5169
@jorgezheng5169 4 жыл бұрын
i basically have the same dream: be a physical therapist in the big leagues. im only a senior in high school, but based on my research, i think the best path to take is to get a Bachelor's in Athletic Training, then ideally if you can, get into a dual-degree program that does Master's in Athletic Training and a Doctors in Physical Therapy (MSAT/DPT). if you go to the PFATS directory (NFL's athletic training society), most of the team's medical personnel have MS in Athletic training, while some have a MS and a DPT. im not 100% sure if this is the right path to take, this is only based on my research and what i plan on doing

Working as an athletic trainer, do you think their work schedules are somewhat flexible? How many hours do you think they work? I’m debating between this or nursing at my university. My school also trains for nfl internships apparently and they are a DI school so ik that will be extremely time consuming.. and I want to balance school with KZbin and even life after school with KZbin. I want to have time to upload every week and ik nursing has really flexible work schedules 😅
@ItsDanny123
@ItsDanny123 2 жыл бұрын
I think it really depends, but overall if you are working in a traditional setting as an AT like a college or high school, it is not very flexible :/

I know you answered the question about the differences in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, and PT, but I’m looking for some advice. I’ve been planning on taking 3 different subjects: Athletic Training, Kinesiology, and Sports Medicine, but was looking to master in all 3. I enjoy all aspects of each subject, but as my career I was looking for something more geared towards athletic training, for example dealing with athletes and competitive sports. I’m still trying to narrow down my career though, would you suggest looking for work as an AT for some sort of athletics corporation based on my majors and interests? Because I don’t really know if I want to be more focused on recovery and injuries, or more on maintaining fitness and peak health for professional level teams. Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you so much.

Hey man I’m new to the channel and I haven’t decided whether I’d like to be an Athletic Trainer or an actual “sports medicine doctor” I’m a sophomore in high school but I kinda just want to set my goals early in order to work to them I was just wondering what would I make more money in? And how can I decide which is better for me? Also sorry if it was hard to understand I don’t speak English to good

Hi, do you guys have internship programs at UM even if you’re not a UM student ? I am currently at FAU working on the exercise science program and UM had been my dream. I got accepted to UM with a scholarship but it wasn’t enough to cover tuition costs. If you can provide me the internship liaisons info or whomever i can reach out to , to inquire about this , please and thank you

Cons: Huge wage disparity compared to other medical professions. ATCs have incredible education and understanding of all things orthopedics and medicine, requiring a masters degree and make next to nothing working 60+ hours a week. Better off going to nursing school for 2 years, getting your RN and landing a job that you’ll make nearly double you would as an ATC...with more mobility and opportunity for growth. I’d do it all over again if I could. Take it from yours truly, an ATC who’s still in debt and graduated 5 years ago. Currently working as a D3 university too.

I have a question, I recently graduated with a degree I’m not happy with and I’m trying to go in the path of Athletic Training. Is there anything I can do now as a graduate with her B.s? I was told we could get certifications for Athletic training but I don’t trust advisors anymore hahaha anyone have any tips?

I'm sorry homie but salaries absolutely SUCK and it's costing us athletic trainers. Salaries range between $36,000-$45,000. If you're going into this career thinking that you're going to make a good living you are sadly mistaken. I've been an athletic trainer for 18 years.
