It's sad how gymnasts don't stick around very long. I realize that gymnastics is hard on your body so you have to retire relatively early, but you don't get to enjoy the athlete performing for much time. It's almost as bad as it would be if football teams switched out quarterbacks every season.

1:40 - how did she know she won for sure at that moment in terms of calculating the math with all those decimal points? Yes, I know even if Shawn did a perfect FX routine, her SV would still be too low to win, but WE know that due to announcers telling us. I can only assume there's some kind of computerized screens behind the scenes, where they instantly know exactly how much gap there are between the athletes' total points.
