Atholl Highlanders Tug o' War competition during the 2022 Atholl Gathering at Blair Castle, Scotland

A Tug o' War competition between members of the Atholl Highlanders and Atholl Pipe Band during the 2022 Atholl Gathering. This was held in the grounds of Blair Castle and Atholl Estates on Sunday 29th May 2022 and one of the Highlanders fun challenges, with mixed teams of Highlanders and band members, under the watchful eye of their Regimental Sergeant Major, Graham Jack.
The Atholl Highlanders are a Scottish ceremonial infantry regiment and the only remaining private army in Europe.They act as the personal bodyguard to the Duke of Atholl, Chieftain of the Clan Murray, and the men are armed with Lee-Metford rifles. The Tug o' War was watched by the Michael Murray, Marquess of Tullibardine, eldest son of the Duke of Atholl, who you can see at the beginning of the film with the large feather in his cap.
