Its a great beach. Only they just changed the rules. Dogs on the lead, so I will find another beach to go to for a while.

I found the salt pans years ago when our kids were young. We lost our footwear and were absolutely covered in stinking mud! Great excuse to swim though 😊

Lovely relaxing and informative video Ellis. I'm in Fethiye and didnt know about the salt pans. Such a peaceful environment. I must walk over to Candir side as well one day. Enjoy the last chapter before you move.

Thanks. Not going anywhere yet. Have to sell my house first and the market is very slow at the moment. With candir being a place for the few that want to be remote it could be a while.

Duh! I should also have guessed. I only just realised, with the Turkish word "tuzu" meaning salt. I never put the two together. Thanks for your informative video

What happened about your visa? This area is amazing you can’t find something like that anywhere Who is helping you taking these videos while walking, hiking etc…. ? So professional good job 👍

They turned all the rules back. But, we still try to leave. I never want to go through something like that again. But I have to sell my house to be able to do that. And that's not easy at the moment. Our visa runs out in march.

I would like to think that a turtle kept in captivity from necessity for years there that there would be a very large aquarium sized space for it to live in, not that lonely barren green tank.
@AtHomeInTurkey14 күн бұрын
I agree. That's why my thoughts on those places are very double.

I love the work that the turtle hospital does but it does make me cry when I visit the same turtle over several years.I wish money could be raised to provide a bigger more suitable place where the long term patients could be housed.
