@at Home With Sweet Willow Berry Merry Christmas Valerie, Tim and boys! I thought I would let you in on a secret that my dear late mother-in-law taught me. After breading the chops just as you did, I put the chops in the refrigerator for a half hour before browning them for the oven. I rarely, if ever, have the breading slide off. Tip on frying porkchop..make a slit in the middle if the steak . It will fry the porkchop flat, I learned that on youtube..lol..thank you for sharing your meals..I always get ideas from your dinners!!!

I like dipping mini dounuts in chocolate. We use the snowflake vanilla cupcake mix and bake them in a dounut pan. Dip and let dry

if you cannot eat wheat gluten, you can bake a GF cracker in crumbs separately and then add to the casserole as you eat it. This is what I do when I make baked fish with cracker topping.

@@NiNitosix if I use gf crackers similar to ritz and try to bake on the fish, they get soggy. so I simply put another pan in the oven with cracker crumbs with a bit of butter. then it becomes a crunchy topping that I add to my plate and take a bite of both fish and crumbs as I eat. that way I still get the crunchy texture. I would do the same with the squash casserole, which I plan to make.

I used to melt a lot of chocolate and the biggest hit of all the candies I made was chocolate covered potato chips! The easiest ones to cover were the rippled ones because they were stronger and held more chocolate! Maerry Christmas Valerie! 🎄🎅🏼🥰

Make a different menu for Christmas… Beef Wellington, Pork Tenderloin and stuffed chicken with shrimp dressing. Corn bread dressing, au gratin taters, green bean casserole, corn on cob, fresh buttered carrots, steamed broccoli, salad, cranberry sauce, gravy rolls, and multiple desserts. I love squash casserole….

I love squash casserole. I put diced mild green chilis in mine. So delicious! I like to mix roasted nuts into the chocolate and spoon onto parchment paper and make chocolate covered nut candies. Also, fruit is good dipped in chocolate. Merry Christmas, y'all!

Your meal looked so tasty! I would like to offer a suggestion concerning the pork chops, if I may: My mom taught me when I was a whole lot younger, that when dealing with pork/bone in especially, that if the meat has been cut in pieces, that it would be better to run water over the edges of the bone to remove bone fragments that have chipped away while the meat was being cut at the butcher. You will feel the grit of small bones if you "wash" the meat under the running water. Then pat dry the meat with paper towels and then dredge in your flour coating. I hope this makes sense and will be a beneficial help. I'm challenged with cooking these days so sitting with you while you cook has been such a wonderful experience of days gone by! Gale Flowers

I like potato chips dipped in chocolate. One time I tried bacon dipped in chocolate at a farmer's market. I wasn't too keen on that. Chocolate covered strawberries are always good.

Valerie you are such a great cook and I have never seen a more efficient and well stocked kitchen! We also have blacked eyed peas and cornbread on New Years as that is my Momma's birthday. She will be 82 this year. We are not having turkey for Christmas this year either. We are having beef and noodles, mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans with homemade hot rolls.
