Pine bark beetles extermination | Eradication method Survival Outdoors Solutions

Hello friends, I hope you're well! Back in my old camp I just noticed several fir trees affected and gnawed by bark beetles! Given the damage these little critters can do in a forest, I need to react quickly!
These little bugs can destroy an entire forest, and they can also destroy all your trees! Why today I've only found 6 trees that I've just cut down! There are only 2 ways to eradicate these bugs! Fire or water! Remember that adult specimens can fly and find other trees!
If you can't make a fire or if you have a river, you have to put the trees back in the water! Another method is to bark the trees to prevent the larvae from multiplying!
Personally, I can't burn a huge quantity of trees in my forest! I think to decorate the trees and on a tarpaulin before putting in water for 24 hours empty and start the process again! In this case you can keep your wood!

I fear you might be fighting an uphill battle, but hopefully you got them stopped before they got to many more trees. If you have a large kill-off of pine trees you definitely don't want to be there when things get dry, it will be a tinderbox. Hopefully soon you'll have your new location set up well enough to move your focus over there permanently. Good luck!

Pine beetles are a problem all over the Rocky Mountains. The dead trees become a fire hazard. I hope you have some success, Athos. It's heart breaking to see whole mountain sides of pine trees lost to these beetles.

Good day Athos&Tarok, Back when l worked and had my picture framing shop,lhad a case of powder post beetles. They drill tiny holes and destroy. I had to throw away alot of feet of moulding😪.Good luck with it Athos!💪🐺👌

Hello Barbie !! I found a beautiful stick one time and brought it home as a walking stick. But late at night it made weird noises !! And there was small piles of sawdust under it every morning. Now I know what that was !! I learn a lot from Athos !!

Hard woodwork also here in German woods there are a lot of beetle-problems, too. Some say its because of wrong trees (pine) in monocultural forests, some say its because of the climachange...

yes by all these insects pose very serious problems... I think that the climate is the only one responsible, the trees are in distress!

Had Dutch Elm disease running rampant in Wisconsin during the 60s...!!! Destroyed all of our Elm trees. A real shame. Woodpecker population isn't the answer to your problem...there wouldn't be enough🙄 Perhaps some Beatles...?
