I’m glad it was helpful. Generally international flights will depart or arrive from Concourse E or Concourse F, however you check in at the same place. I also have a video of checking in for a flight to Italy where we departed out of Concourse F. Here is that video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJmqfJWomJ6Jms0

I'll have my first flight into Atlanta in November and I really appreciate your videos on the airport and how to get around! My original itenerary gave me a 2hr05m stopover to get from international to a national gate to continue my journey. Since watching your videos, I think that would be cutting it close, so I've arranged my stopover to now be 4hr15m :-)

For anyone wondering why I changed to a very long layover, this was so I could get my 'enrollment on arrival' interview done for 'Global Entry'. Ultimately I ended up taking a direct flight from Amsterdam to Orlando.

I have a flight to Colombia on the 20th (Monday), and my gate number is E-7. I’ve noticed at 11:32 it says “Concourse F, Gate E-1-E-12” I’m a bit confused there. This is my first time flying on an airplane, and first time traveling solo. So once I reach E-7 do I walk up to the delta desk, and give them the information? Plus how would I know when to depart?
@bozy1062 жыл бұрын
No fear… just turn towards the “Gate E-1 / E-12”. If you go straight it just gives you an opportunity to go back down another escalator to go to Concourse F and International Baggage Claim. I hope that is helpful. When you reach the gate just verify from the overhead screen that it is indeed your flight (It will have the flight number, departure time and destination ). Just sit and wait until they call for your boarding group over the loudspeaker (your boarding group will be printed on you paper or electronic boarding pass).

If You Don’t Mind Me Asking , Why Are They Running ? Did They Not Show Up On Time ?
@bozy1062 жыл бұрын
If I had to guess I'd would say it was likely due to a short connection. If they were flying from City A to City B but they had to change planes in Atlanta in order to get to City B, its possible that the flight into Atlanta from City A was delayed or late. This would give them less time to change planes/gates to board their flight to City B.
@juangalindo-araujo52542 жыл бұрын
So Short Connection Means They Give You No Time To Board The Plane ?
@bozy1062 жыл бұрын
@@juangalindo-araujo5254 A short connection usually means that you have enough time to get to the other gate/plane but not enough time to casually sit back and have a meal in the airport. Typically an airline will not create a reservation involving 2 of their flights if there is not enough time to realistically get to the 2nd plane. However if the first flight is delayed in arriving it can make a short connection into an almost impossible connection. In general, as long as both flights are with the same airline, booked on the same reservation and there are no delays you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

@bozy1062 жыл бұрын
In today’s security focused world, you can only go up to security with them. In the days before 9/11 family could go all the way to the gate, but no more.

I just have to ask. There’s self check in so why are all the other people in line waiting ? Do they not want to self check in?

They are waiting to drop off their checked luggage after using the self check-in kiosks (or the online app to check in).
@goodmeasure7773 жыл бұрын
@Lizbeth Trevino, I was wondering also. So when you drop your bags off, you don't check in at the same time?
@bozy1063 жыл бұрын
@@goodmeasure777 first you check in at the kiosk and print your boarding pass. Then you take your boarding pass and go to the line to drop your bags off. When you get to the front of the line they scan your boarding pass and take your bags. After dropping your bags you get in line to go through security.

I have a domestic to domestic flight, then a domestic to international flight flying spirit (atl- florida - Montego, Jamaica . Will I have to fly out from the international side of atl? When I land in Florida will i have to go through customs or go straight to my gate? Coming back is the same Montego bay-Florida- atl will I have to go through customs in Florida to get on my next flight or head straight to my next flight

You’ll end up leaving from the domestic side of ATL since that leg of the flight terminates in Florida. When returning you go through customs in Florida. The Florida to Atlanta leg of the return flight will me like a normal domestic flight.

Ty sm, plane train is compulsory to take to any concourse for international depurtures in Atlanta?
@bozy106 Жыл бұрын
You only need to take the Plane Train for an international departure if it is in concourse E. If it is in Concourse F and you check in and go through security at the international terminal you will initially exit security in Concourse F so you will only need to walk a short distance to your gate.

If it is a domestic flight, sit back and relax it plenty of time. If your flight into ATL is an international flight be sure to tell your flight attendant about the short connection. Often they will try to get you off the plane first before everyone stands up and clogs the aisles up.
