@@shizzLd352i’m a saints fan and while i enjoyed them getting a TD, its definitely a low class move… if they wanted to try and score they shouldn’t have done it in a kneel down formation when the game is already over, the defense respects the kneel by not doing anything so then they are caught off guard which is risky now cause anyone can get injured. I would say the only time that you can do this is if the game is still within reach and if you are going to fake spike it because the defense cant just sit back and not do anything they have to be prepared for whatever comes at them. I.E: Aaron rodgers vs dolphins, Big Ben vs Cowboys. In this case, what does the defense need to do to prepare themselves for? The game is already over, they are thinking the saints are just going to run the clock out to avoid injuries.

Honestly, this might have been the best outcome for the Falcons. Losing to New Orleans this bad means better draft position. Which is great of course. We’d lose in the first round of the playoffs and we wouldn’t have made it anyway, so it avoids playoff heartbreak. Losing so badly results in possibly firing Arthur Smith and possibly getting rid of Ridder. If that is the case we will likely be bad next year and get a high draft pick again. It gives a renewed hope to this team’s future. And the best part is, the Saints still missed the playoffs! Never thought I’d say this…but thank you, New Orleans. I’m glad to see the saints I remember playing like they are with drew Bree’s again I’ve been watching them since I was little and it’s great to see the saints pull the second half come back like the good ol days 🤩🤩😝

UK fan here, so I may not understand all the niceties of the game. What was the Atlanta coach so upset about at the end? Are you not meant to keep scoring as many points as possible??
@garethjohnson857910 ай бұрын
I don't think it really is that they scored, more the way they did. Faking a kneel i think is what set him off. Ok, if they were going to go for the score then make a normal play, but the falcons players assumed kneel, game over, so don't really defend. So its a cheap way to score a TD.
@CreoleBunny10 ай бұрын
There is an "unwritten" rule that you don't run up the score when the game is almost over and you're the clear winner. It's stupid and nobody follows it.
@jamesjeffries662310 ай бұрын
The victory formation was designed to protect the QB from getting drill by defensive players. There was a time when even a player was on the ground an opponent could jump on him and lead with his helmet. Eagles Giants 1978 look at the end of that game. Miracle at the Meadowlands. Also on all the post game shows the former players and coaches said if the Saints wanted to score don't fake victory formation. Good way for unnecessary injuries and fights.

Exactly all this sportsmanship stuff is bs they were at the 1 yard line with a minute to go why wouldn’t they get the touchdown???? So the falcons feelings won’t hurt FOH these old Mfs crying about this are the same ones that say genz is snowflakes
Since they lost that SB I’ve had a genuine hate for the Falcons, love seeing them embarrassed & disrespected

@@lomax343 well I mean there's many variables or factors that go into that. Some of the blame can be put on the OL, some of the blame can be put on Carr & some of the blame can be put on the coaches.

@sometimesfriendly983910 ай бұрын
I disagree with doing it from the Victory Formation if that's what that was. The offense is expecting the defense to respect the formation and not try to come blazing in and potentially causing an injury. I don't disagree with trying for it to get the guy a TD.

The way they ended the game is what this game will be remembered for. - The next time the Ain'ts line up in a V-formation, it will not be unexpected if the other team takes a running start at them and bowl over as many as they can. They don't deserve anything less.
@imanoldurango821310 ай бұрын
Also in case you don’t know …….. YOU CANT TAKE A RUNNING START. You ever notice how all the players stand still before the ball is snapped? Because moving would be a false start
