They only had 4 major hits between 1977 and 79. Not under, but neither overrated. They weren't a world-wide massive success like Lynayrd Skynyrd or Allman bros, but they weren't unknown either. They "Were" because the last original member just passed this January 2023.

Kinda cool that they were rubbing elbows with Skynyrd , Skynyrd is my favorite band, and Fleetwood Mac/ Stevie Nicks, but I will say this band Atlanta Rhythm Section , is in the line up, so sexy are their songs... just fabulous! 1970's music was the BEST: Let's thumbs up for 70's music, we have this band, and Skynyrd, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, The Steve Miller Band, God we were born in the right era to enjoy these great bands!

It is hard to top the first presentation, though, some others may come sort of close. For a guy like me, who got into music in his late teens and started with gospel, then soul, then jazz, this song just always consumed my soul, ate me alive, and I will never recover from that sensation. These guys never even cut a sweat not a drop. Funny, how some of the most simple and easy things can be so powerful. The vocal prowess of Luther Van, the deep raw bass of Barry W. or Billy Joel, the clarity and sincerity of Johnny Cash, the angel in Russel Thompkins Jr. This band with this hit doesn't stand behind ANYONE.
