It is hard to top the first presentation, though, some others may come sort of close. For a guy like me, who got into music in his late teens and started with gospel, then soul, then jazz, this song just always consumed my soul, ate me alive, and I will never recover from that sensation. These guys never even cut a sweat not a drop. Funny, how some of the most simple and easy things can be so powerful. The vocal prowess of Luther Van, the deep raw bass of Barry W. or Billy Joel, the clarity and sincerity of Johnny Cash, the angel in Russel Thompkins Jr. This band with this hit doesn't stand behind ANYONE.
