My father was also apart of a recording band in ATL called Cotton, during this time and opening up for lots of 70’s funky type recording artists during this time. He was actually opening up for Fats Domino the night I was born. But my parents LOVED Atlanta Rhythm Section the most. I probably heard them when I was in the womb. Also, Allman Brothers. Will never forget seeing them live close to 45 years ago. It was in 1978, the initial Champaign jam at the then Grant Field in downtown Atlanta. It was just after they released the album of the same name. Bought two $13.50 general admission tickets. It was our second date with my now wife of 43 years. A.R.S. as they were referred to, was the headline band along with The Doobie Brothers, Santana, Mothers Finest, Mose Jones and Eddie Money. I remember it was a hot day in early September. We sat in the grass in the field on a blanket, when we were not standing. Little did we realize at the time that most of those bands would be legendary. Probably the best concert we ever attended.

This is a track from their 1976 album "A Rock and Roll Alternative" which is outstanding. Brings back memories of great times in Southern California in the late seventies.

This is the first song a couple would play after everyone left the party at their place, on a Friday night. The last guest says goodnight and they pass you a full bottle of your favorite wine to thank you, their hosts, for a great time. Everyone had a BLAST! When it's just.the two of you winding down for beddy-bye time and you agreed to put on the song "Into You." Then for the final nightcap you drink a glass of your favorite, delicious wine, Then you play "Imaginary Lover!" I promise you will have a very enjoyable time.

There’s another studio version of this song that has about a 3 minute guitar solo at the end. It is magnificent! These guys are so smooth. Much love ❤️
